Isn’t it sad to see millionaires and billionaires squabbling like little children?

Helping the NFL move past the collective greed of the owners & players!

With all that is going on in the world, isn’t it sad to see millionaires and billionaires squabbling like little children? The spiteful greed of both sides of the NFL negotiations is disheartening, but greed has seeped into every aspect of Americana. With so many who want to work out of work, or working well below their skill level, it is very hard to generate any tears for either side of this impasse. I’d like to propose a couple of options as an overall solution for this ridiculous schism.

I can’t believe I’m going to suggest what I am about to suggest, but maybe this will spur the owners to come clean with players, fans and taxpayers who help pay for their individual ‘Taj Mahals’ of sports. We can call upon President Obama to nationalize the NFL, stripping the owners of their investment and ownership of their respective teams, you know, like the bondholders and stockholders of GM and Chrysler. And because the owners do not have a monopoly on greed and stupidity, we can add a little levity to address the players’ side as well. We’ll have Chris Christie and Scott Walker handle the negotiations between the owners and the players. I wouldn’t envy either of these titans of belt-tightening having to deal with these petulant, prima donna ingrates on each side of the issues. If it weren’t for all of the ‘invisible’ people who rely upon the league for an income, it would be a welcome respite to escape the NFL monopoly of time, treasure and focus. In reflecting upon Commissar Obama, isn’t it interesting that he hasn’t butted in to wrestle control of the NFL as he did with GM and Chrysler? Could it be that nationalizing the NFL wouldn’t offer access to the professional agitators needed to support his clandestine ‘idiotology’ of ‘fundamentally transforming’ our country to conform to his warped way of thinking, as they are doing in Wisconsin, Ohio and elsewhere? Let’s hope that both the millionaires and the billionaires realize how fortunate they are, and they work towards an equitable agreement so this stupidity is no longer front-page news.
