HOUSE CONSERVATIVES WANT TRUDEAU’S LGBT AGENDA OUT OF TRADE AGREEMENT

Conservative Republicans in the House of Representatives on Friday demanded that LGBT-friendly language be removed from the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Trade Agreement (USMCA) before it’s ratified by Congress. The language became part of the trade agreement at the insistence of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who wanted the final treaty to include commitments to social policies on gender equality, labor rights, climate change and LGBT rights.-- More...
