Parole board's decision to pardon ex-junior hockey coach, Graham James

How many more outrages?

One can only wonder how many more inept and blatantly irresponsible rulings by our corrupt National Parole Board it will take for the Canadian pubic to be as "disappointed, shocked and outraged" as hockey star Theoren Fleury and hockey agent Allan Walsh were when they heard of the boards decision to pardon ex-junior coach Graham James.

James pleaded guilty to sexual assault and was sentenced to 3 1/2 years in federal prison in 1997 after Sheldon Kennedy and Theoren Fleury came forward with their stories of sexual abuse by their former hockey coach James. The Prime Minister's Office has called the decision "deeply troubling and gravely disturbing" and has demanded an explanation from the Parole board. It is a black eye for both hockey and our justice system and every Canadian should be emailing the Parole board in protest. The rights of ordinary law-abiding citizens continue to take a back seat to the rights and considerations of criminals and people who remain a threat and danger to the community are regularly released to repeat their crimes. When will it end? When will Canadians say enough is enough? Gerald Hall Parksville, B.C.
