The popular Facebook page I Hate The War On Mayor Rob Ford has done something for democratic society no one has ever done before--It’s given a voice for the grassroots at the undemocratic municipal level of government.
Online since October 2011, I Hate The War On Mayor Rob Ford boasts 2,883 likes and on November 27 had 5, 701 people talking about it. Fast as the speed of light, new posts of the latest smears on beleaguered Toronto Mayor Rob Ford don’t depend on overbearing editors for their oxygen. The unfolding drama of the far left elite and accommodating mainstream media who seek to overturn Ford’s 383,501-vote tally in the 2010 election, is reaching comedic new heights with an unelected Liberal Ontario Premier (Kathleen Wynne) and an unelected Liberal Mayor (marauding Councillor Norm Kelly) currently the leading stars of the digital soap opera.

While the I Hate the War On Mayor Rob Ford Facebook page is growing like the proverbial topsy, three reporters and an editor in sanctimonious defense of the People’s arch enemy, The Toronto Star have just released an hour-long, round-table discussion whining about how Ford supporters “have cost the Star circulation and ad revenue”. Wow! That’s quite a coup given the media feeding frenzy that surrounds Rob Ford and his brother, Councillor Doug Ford. Maybe the video headline would more accurately read: Ford supporters Are Winning Public Battle Against The Red Star. But this is the way the YouTube reporters/editor producers describe their latest quest: “Meet the journalists responsible for the biggest story to ever come out of Toronto City Hall. Hear how they did it, and what’s next.” Let us predict what’s next: Rob Ford Found Dead in Hooker’s Arms. And just to think so many thought that ‘journalists’ were there to report the news, not manufacture it. The snooty ‘journalists’ (journalists are often reporters out of work) would never admit that they were out-scooped by the average citizens of Toronto who know the difference between real news and published propaganda. It took a village to elect Rob Ford and it took village idiots a New York minute to try to wrest the power from the voting public to turn it around. Thanks to I Hate The War On Rob Ford Facebook page, people can see that there are two sides to the tawdry tale that delivered Ford as the Internet world’s most ridiculed digital mayor. Page administrators, Toronto resident Sue Ferguson Ross, Neil Flagg, President of Post Sports Poster Warehouse and Toronto media industry veteran Robert Hoshowsky have provided a light at the end of a long and dark tunnel: Citizens who recognize the high-handed conduct of undemocratic municipal/civic councils now have somewhere to turn. I Hate The War On Rob Ford is good news, not just for the long-suffering taxpayers of Toronto, but for patriots in the United States of America whose fight to take back their country should be taken to the doors of U.N. Agenda 21-pushing town and city halls. The days of what Sun News Media host Ezra Levant calls “the fancy people” elite throwing in with elite media to overturn the outcome of municipal elections are over. And it started with Rob Ford in Toronto. Arthur Weinreb is an author, columnist and Associate Editor of Canada Free Press.
