If Only It Were Monopoly Money

Since January, President Obama and the big Democratic majorities in the Congress are spending thusly: $3.5 TRILLION budget, unveiled by The Bama today, with spending “cuts” that are laughably insignificant and will most likely be restored by the big Democratic congressional spenders.

$1 TRILLION “economic stimulus,” which is already shot through with massive waste, fraud, and abuse, while spurring little to no economic growth and job creation, as Team Bama and his merry band o’ Dems promised. Where are all of those “shovel ready” projects? Right. And where’s all that promised oversight of our money? Right. $500 Billion in “omnibus spending.” A porkfest extravaganza, filled with studies of pig flatulence and gang tattoo removal. $700 Billion in TARP money for the ailing banks. Guess what? They need more. Tens of Billions of dollars for a housing bill, which had no effect on the housing market or in stabilizing home prices. Tens of Billions to bail out the auto industry in order to prevent bankrupcy. Guess what? They’re going bankrupt. And more: under the new restructuring, the government and the unions will own the majority of Chrysler (and GM isn’t far behind.) Using taxpayer money to reward a Democratic political constituency and bathe in cronyism? Yup. Hundreds of Billions set aside for the early stages of nationalizing health care. A $1.2 TRILLION deficit this year, with a doubling of that in five years, and a tripling of it in ten. $12.1 Billion in new funds for the Internal Revenue Service, a 5.2% increase over last year, so the IRS can hire up to 800 new “enforcement” officials. Just to make sure all of you tea-baggers pay your taxes. When the Bama promised to create jobs, you didn’t realize they were all in the IRS, did you? The numbers are just impossible. A lesser nation would have collapsed already under the weight of this spending. Next up: higher taxes (a lot of them) and hyper-inflation (a form of another massive tax). Get ready. The bloodbath has only just begun.
