I’ll Believe It When I See It, FCC To Crack Down On Leftist Rhetoric

Once upon a time in a universe far, far away, television was enjoyable to watch. If you stayed up past the 11:00 news, you got to watch Johnny Carson or David Letterman, who actually had entertaining guests on.

If politics did come up, jokes were made in good-natured fun. People on both sides of the aisle could laugh, and we did, we laughed together. I can actually remember when both parties had the best intentions for the United States. Before a presidential election, you may have wanted your candidate to win, but if he lost, you still supported the president.

In those days, both Republicans and Democrats were basically “centered” on issues. Yes, Democrats were slightly left of center, and Republicans were slightly right. However, the distance between them wasn’t that far, and negotiations were, for the most part, civil and goal-oriented.

Don’t get me wrong, each party had pockets of far-left and far-right radicals, but neither group represented what the majority of each party represented. The far left and the far right were nothing more than fringe outliers; they did not dictate any policy.

It began earlier, but with the start of the Obama administration, Democrats pulled hard to the left, and ever since then, they have steadily moved further and further away from the normalcy of the center.

It isn’t just the politicians; in fact, the talking antagonists on MSM and the elitists in Hollywood have probably had at least as much effect on society's corruption. Shows like The View, blasting out sick, vulgar leftist propaganda every afternoon with some of the vilest women ever assembled. One of the most obnoxious of this clan, “Joyless” Joy Behar, revealed what she wants her legacy to be remembered for: helping get President Donald Trump out of office.

“I want my legacy to be helping to remove Trump from office. That’s what I truly care about,” Behar stated on “Behind the Table,” a podcast hosted by Brian Teta, the executive producer of “The View.”

Then, on late-night television, you can forget about being entertained. With the likes of Jimmy Kimmel, Stephen Colbert, and other clowns like John Oliver and Trevor Noah vomiting out nothing but radical blather.

The truth is that there are no true moderate Democrats anymore. The entire Democratic Party has been radicalized, so reasoning with them is no longer possible. So, when I hear that the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is going to begin to regulate the leftist partisan shows, I take it with a grain of salt.

Who knows what triggered the sudden interest? I mean, these one-sided fire hose indoctrination shows have been forcing propaganda down the throats of Americans for far too long.

Earlier this week, the FCC announced that it is providing guidance to the three major broadcast networks on complying with the "statutory equal opportunities requirement" outlined in the Communications Act of 1934. This includes the networks' airing of late-night and daytime talk shows.

This is why I doubt anything will change. The crackdown is an effort to provide equal treatment for political candidates. Maybe because Colbert recently had Bernie Sanders on his show for the 19^th time, and the show becomes nothing more than a forum to push Sanders’ Communist politics. The chief of the Cherokee Nation, Elizabeth Warren, has also been on Colbert countless times.

In a press release, the FCC wrote:

“Under section 315, if a broadcast station permits any legally qualified candidate for public office to use its facilities, it shall provide an equal opportunity to all other legally qualified candidates for that office.”

Even though there has been this longstanding “bona fide” exception for news programming that wouldn’t require equal time for an opposing candidate, but only now, the FCC says it:

“Has not been presented with any evidence that the interview portion of any late-night or daytime television talk show program on the air presently would qualify for the ‘bona fide’ news exemption.”

No Kidding. Look at this wimpy snowflake excuse FCC Chair Brendan Carr posted on X:

“For years, legacy TV networks assumed that their late-night & daytime talk shows qualify as "bona fide news" programs-— even when motivated by purely partisan political purposes. Today, the FCC reminded them of their obligation to provide all candidates with equal opportunities.”

What a crock. The FCC stood by for years while this went on. Now they're trying to sell us on the story that it was because Legacy TV considered The View and their late-night slop to be news programs, when they obviously weren’t, which still doesn’t explain why the FCC did nothing.

That is a non-existent excuse. The FCC KNEW they weren’t news programs, so Legacy's claim that they thought they were is irrelevant.

This FCC “Fix” is also ridiculous and will change nothing. These shows don’t have to have a leftist politician on to continue their non-stop propaganda, and if they do have one on as a guest, they’ll just bring on some RINO to satisfy the requirement.

So, in summary, for years, the FCC was aware that these programs were 100 percent propaganda and not news, and their response was to do nothing. Now they want us to believe they’re taking action, when in reality they are doing what they do best, … NOTHING.
