In the Dark and Cold of Forlorn Nova Scotia

Update: Twice on Thursday and again on Sunday, we were once again plunged in the cold and dark. The same areas that were affected  before are again affect ed with three different outages and three different excuses. First it was an unannounced Planned Maintenance, next it was a Transmission Interruption, and today was High Winds and Rain.  This is Nova Scotia we generally have high winds and rain, and today nothing much.

But this is what Canadians should expect from a Liberal influenced government in financially declining Canada.

And what's more the Government and its weather forecasters can't even get the weather right...It's not raining and windy, it's now a blizzard.

Bone-chilling winds blowing in off the Atlantic highlight the latest Nova Scotia power outage. Rain more like winter sleet, and for the second time this day, we are left in the dark and the cold.

Our first power outage came at 12 midnight, Thursday, according to Nova Scotia power, their unannounced scheduled maintenance would return heat and light by 5 a.m. The first power outage ended at 6:10 a.m.
A second power outage struck out of the blue at 4:35 p.m. Thursday afternoon.

Gone is the comfort of our two electric blankets and Dyson fans, our only means of staying warm in our winter coats.

Even our little 12-year-old Yorkie, ‘Yankee’ is quivering in the loss of heat. With the inside ears feeling cold to the touch, he keeps looking up at us with soulful eyes wondering why we don’t turn the heat on.

If only we could, little fella’.

Nova Scotia, to which we returned from Ontario four years ago come the end of May, is a cold, forlorn and hostile kind of place. It’s also dysfunctional and sometimes even dystopian.

Last year N.S. Premier Ted Houston banned Nova Scotians from walking in the forests, laying a fine of $28,872.50 on Jeff Everly before the Supreme Court struck down the summer hiking ban.

The Argyle Municipal Council, through its Parks and Recreation Committee, locked down the popular ballpark/dog park, cutting off not only a safe place for dogs, but cutting off social encounters for dog owners. and other folk.

We left Ontario for Nova Scotia because it is the province where I was raised.

Mind you, Ontario is not much better, where Premier Dog Ford seems to spend much of his time, along with other Canadian politicians, hating American President Donald Trump.

Today, I spotted on my favourite website, the Conservative Tree House, a reminder of author Thomas Wolfe, who once wrote. “You can't go home again”.

Here at Canada Free Press/Americas Free Press, Brian and I try to keep our morale flying high. We were devastated last week to learn that if we want to make it to American soil, we will likely have to pay the Canadian Liberal Government’s half a million dollar Exit Tax.

We wait in the hope that mainstream media will step up to champion a Canada free of PM Carney’s WEF-styled Communism.

We will never give up on that hope, knowing that countless Canadians do not want to live—or die—on Communist Canadian soil.
