Inhofe and “Environmental Thuggery”

While President Barack Obama garners praise from environmentalists with his announcement Monday about tightening fuel-economy standards and moving quickly to resolve California’s quest for stricter auto-emissions standards, James Inhofe, a Republican and the senior Senator from Oklahoma, is outraged.

Tulsa World is quoting Mr. Inhofe as calling Mr. Obama’s move “environmental thuggery.” According to the paper, Mr. Inhofe also warned that it would mean more jobs lost in the auto industry.
