‘Invisible” Chris Wallace To Moderate First Presidential DebateChris Wallace says he will try to be as “invisible as possible” at Tuesday night’s first presidential debate. It wasn’t Wallace’s invisibility folk were hoping for, but his silence. “Chris Wallace, the host of “Fox News Sunday” and moderator of the first presidential debate between President Trump and Joe Biden, said that he hopes to remain as “invisible as possible” during their faceoff on Tuesday in Cleveland, Ohio. (Fox News, Sept. 28, 2020)
“I’m trying to get them to engage…to focus on the key issues…to give people at home a sense of why they want to vote for one versus the other,” he said. “If I’ve done my job right, at the end of the night, people will say, ‘That was a great debate, who was the moderator?’”
Sure, Chris. With self-serving certitude, Fox News trumpets a today front page story headlined: “How to watch Fox News coverage of the first Trump-Biden debate in Ohio’. Knowing what will happen in advance, that Wallace will lob softball questions at Joe Biden, who all three Fox News Polls claimed was well ahead of President Donald Trump, and question the president about New York Times made-up stories about his unpaid taxes, Fox needs to tell viewers “How to watch” their coverage of the first Trump-Biden debate? Viewers know the big ‘question’ of the night to President Trump will be: “Why are you stealing the election?” followed swiftly by, “Why will you refuse to concede when Biden wins?” While Wallace pretends to be “invisible”, it’s easy to see the path that Fox will take by looking at their lineup. They easily can be spotted in the “special editions of pre-debate programming beforehand”—not to mention afterward.
"Special Report’s" Bret Baier and "The Story’s" Martha MacCallum will co-anchor live coverage outside the debate venue. They’ll be bringing in a team of commentators for post-debate analysis, including senior political analyst Brit Hume, co-host of "The Five" and "The Daily Briefing" anchor Dana Perino, as well as co-host of The Five and political analyst Juan Williams. FNC contributors Donna Brazile, Karl Rove and Katie Pavlich will also offer analysis throughout the evening.” (Fox News, Sept. 28, 2020) Wow! Juan Williams, that “good Catholic girl Donna Brazile and wishy-washy Karl Rove! Hope viewers double down on their popcorn and not their tongues! This is how Fox News describes their debate coverage:

Follow along on Fox News' Instagram and Facebook stories for behind-the-scenes content and keep up with the biggest debate moments as they happen.” “The format: “The night will be divided up into six 15-minute-long segments, each dedicated to one topic, picked by moderator Chris Wallace and approved by the nonpartisan Commission on Presidential Debates. The showdown will run for approximately 90 minutes without any interruption.”

“What to watch for: “The candidates are sure to spar over the Supreme Court nomination, the coronavirus pandemic, civil unrest and violence that has flared up across the nation over the summer, among other topics chosen by Wallace. “Wallace also included the Biden and Trump records and the integrity of the election --another crucial issue considering the president for months has railed against expanded voting by mail amid the pandemic, and concerns from Democrats over Russian election interference.”
And get this: Fox News’ way of describing “the debate season schedule:  “Whoever performs poorly at Tuesday's debate will have a shot at redemption on Oct. 15 in Nashville, Tenn. and on Oct. 22 in Miami, Fla.”

Redemption?

How can they be so assured that someone will perform poorly? Redemption? There’s no such thing as ”redemption” for anything relating to President Donald Trump and his voters as far as the Democrats and media are concerned. PLUS: People who have already made up their minds about who will be getting their votes aren’t likely to change it in any of the overrated presidential media-run debates, just because they’re monitored by Chris Wallace at Fox News. Meanwhile, Fox News and the media can’t change the direction of the outcome of Election 2020, but that won’t stop them from trying.
