Iranian sailor who was killed on the ship that was sunk near Sri Lanka by an American torpedo called his father shortly before the American attack

American forces had issued two warnings to the crew to abandon the ship

The commander of the Iranian warship refused to allow the crew to abandon ship. The sailor's father said that some of the crew argued with the commander, and that the 32 crew members who survived were mainly sailors who managed to escape in lifeboats.
