Is a government executive perk more righteous than a business executive perk?

ABC News has a story about Obama, Senator McCain, and Senator Dodd (a Marxist, a me-too RINO, and another liberal) taking large sums of money from AIG. All this while Barney Frank denounces the bonuses paid to AIG executives and warns that they must give them back. In fact, Obama administration Treasury Secretary Timothy Geitner was told about them in advance according to the N.Y. Post. Yet, President Obama has denounced corporations for owning private jets, yet he is flying to California this week on Air Force One to do the "People's Business" of appearing on the Jay Leno Show. Nancy Pelosi, who has used her position as Speaker to block offshore drilling legislation felt that as Speaker of the House she needed use of a larger Air Force jet to get home to California non-stop. One can only hope that she doesn't press for a two fighter plane escort. This week, Pelosi told illegal immigrants in San Francisco that work site raids were "un-American." It seems that protecting the jobs of American citizens and enforcing the law is thus, by implication, "un-American" in her eyes. So apparently this is her new perk, namely not having to enforce the immigration laws and Constitution she swore to uphold. In the recent past, we have heard statements by Harry Reid attacking energy companies for causing global warming, warming that he blamed for causing California wildfires. His famous statement about "coal makes us sick, oil makes us sick" can be found on American Daily Reviews' home page. The last time I looked, the Nevada Senator represents a city (Las Vegas) and a state which have many big carbon footprint commercial jets flying in and out, as well as their cities spending a small fortune on light bulb displays heating up the atmosphere day and night. Will Harry Reid call for the shutting down of Las Vegas exterior lighting after ten p.m. to "save the earth?" How about shutting down electromechanical slot machines and the live broadcast of sports wagering events after midnight, only allowing table games "to save the earth?" But the Obama administration is already saving Nevada a lot of energy usage because of lowered tourist and convention trips. One could raise some reasonable question whether Sen. Reid will get reelected while being a spokesman for lowered oil usage. What exactly does Senator Reid think California drivers and other out-of-state tourist flyers use in order to travel to Nevada? Skate boards and mules? But reason is having a tough time these days being heard in politics, often getting laughed at in the mainstream press these past six months. In fashion now are emotion and self righteousness, based on thin arguments of an ecological utopia powered by solar power and hydrogen (water) engines yet to be invented and sold to the public. Two years ago, I wrote about the Hollywood Left's hypocrisy in attacking a drunken remark by Mel Gibson while they conveniently forgot their steady employment of the heavily anti-Israel (and arguably anti-semitic) politics of Vanessa Redgrave. Although that comparison wasn't about electoral politics, the conclusion drawn, with some minor modification, is - not surprisingly - as fitting of the Obama administration's assignment of guilt and blame as it was of the Hollywood Left back them. But for the liberal religion, they attempt to rewrite Christ's words, (Let he who is without sin cast the first stone) into "By casting the first stone, you can spin it politically so as to claim you are without sin." In other words, if you denounce any capitalist bonus or practice loudly while ignoring your equivalent government monopoly behavior, you - as a liberal - can get a free pass." As for the Democrats and mainstream media howling about AIG and corporate jets and global warming, didn't Shakespeare say something about a lady that protested too much?
