It is hard to understand the public perception of Hillary Clinton
Before Bill Clinton was elected President, Hillary's worth was $700,000, now it is estimated at $31,000,000
It is hard to understand the public perception of Hillary Clinton as a representative of the common man while Donald Trump is viewed as a rich, old white guy.
I'm willing to wager that Trump has more first hand knowledge of the working people of this country. Clinton received 21.1 million from donors on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. Trump received 1.02 million from the same group.
Before Bill Clinton was elected President, Hillary's worth was $700,000, now it is estimated at $31,000,000, if you combine her net worth with Bill, it comes to $111,000,000.
So, let's be clear, neither candidate is hurting. Interestingly, Clinton's worth is a result of her political status. In other words, her books, speeches, etc. wouldn't be worth much if she hadn't been a first lady, Senator and Secretary of State. Did you get your thank you note? No? Me either.
It is very sad that the only candidates that are still standing are ones who are wealthy and can tap into more wealth. But it is important to understand that both candidates each eat from a silver spoon, not just one.
