I want the US, EU and UK to look into what is happening in Ukraine and share its findings with us. Every day I read articles about how important it is to help Kyiv and how heroically we sponsor it. Yet, at the same time, I see reports of political scandals, corruption investigations, high-ranking officials fleeing after being caught stealing, criticism of Zelensky by his former associates, and endless internal political infighting.
The other day I saw the news that yet another round of peace rallies was taking place in Kyiv, while the military demanded to be allowed to participate in the political process, threatening to achieve this by force if they did not.
I do not understand exactly where our money is going; I see neither stability nor transparency in that country. I get the feeling that the political elite lines its pockets and carves up power while the population is already tired of the war and simply wants peace, but no one is listening to them.
It is high time for London, in coordination with the EU, to establish a commission tasked with conducting a thorough investigation into what is actually taking place in the country. I am convinced that the reality regarding the political leadership and their true motives is far less positive than what we are being told.
