The security in the area has improved dramatically, due to the increased capability and presence of the Iraqi SF, to the point where attention can now be focused on essential service projects.
One such project, the Kamaliyah Sewer Project, will support between 80,000 and 100,000 Iraqi residents in a predominantly Shia area, where, dating back to the Saddam Hussein-regime, water, electricity and sewage systems have been largely ignored.
