Karl Rove’s Posse

The Karl Rove Conservative Victory Project does nothing to promote real conservative candidates. Instead it will provide financial support to, what he and his posse consider, the most electable conservative candidate.

The problem with this position in all levels of government is that it puts really big bucks behind a candidate chosen by the Republican machine, not the real conservatives. All voters, conservative and liberal, should support those who reflect their own belief system. To do less waters down the message and is a cop out. The fallacy of his PAC was painfully highlighted in the last election where the Republican Party pushed Mitt Romney to the top of the Republican heap despite the objections of Tea Partiers across the country. Romney was perceived as a rich, elite guy and was only grudgingly supported by the "anybody but Obama" voters. The lack of enthusiasm probably cost the Republicans the election. The press was able to paint him as out of touch with America and Obama was able to out campaign him. Many good candidates were bypassed by the party because of the real threat to the status quo by the Conservative Movement. Mr. Rove's PAC does nothing to address our deep problems nor promote candidates with true principles. Instead this PAC will solidify the old model of an antiquated Republican Party of rich white guys. He'll not get a dime of my money. Sandy Dameron Rotonda West, FL
