Killing Us Softly: Republican Betrayal in Our Darkest HourThe Republican Party is quietly betraying its members and its purpose – and most importantly it is betraying America. Joe Biden's coronation is only weeks away and currently there is nothing substantial in place to forestall it - other than the last-ditch efforts of a few courageous but unsanctioned activists (and just now, lawsuits of Texas et al). In contrast and by any measure, the Republican Establishment is absent without leave. If the Republican Party won't defend Republicans, won't save itself, and won't save the Nation, what are we to do? Vote for more faithless Republican leaders? Support the Republican Party more than we already do? Why?
We now have 74 million citizens most of whom are fervent Trump supporters and (for the moment) fervent Republicans. Increasingly, however, fidelity to the Republican Party is unrequited. In the past we thought we could cope with the corruption and weakness of our establishment Republican leaders, knowing that the alternative – Democrat leadership ascendance – would damage our Constitution and homeland beyond repair. We held fast to hopes this trade-off might actually usher in more comprehensive Republican victories in the future. And that such victories would permit us to once and for all jettison the RINOs and their perfidy. We hoped, eventually, to fashion the sort of Republican Party we thought we'd already joined in the first place. But now, in the hour of our nation's greatest crisis since the Civil War, many in the Republican Party leadership have abandoned us, most distressingly including Republican governors and the leadership in each of the Republican Legislatures in the Six Swing States. With these sorts of Republicans in power, who needs enemies? But even many in the 'rank and file' of our leadership remain silent – even now. Where are the deafening cries of "foul" bursting forth from every media venue? Where are the public exhortations in support of our President? Where is the righteous indignation and outrage we should expect declaimed on the floors of the House and Senate? Where, even, are our erstwhile Republican Executive Branch stalwarts such as Attorney General Barr? Nowhere. Crickets. It must be admitted. Democrats have been masterful. From their corruption of the state and federal judiciary, statewide offices, attorneys general as well as their mass dissemination and coordination of corrupt election practices, to billionaire funding of adulterated precinct-by-precinct fraud in Georgia, to too-clever-by-half last-minute emplacement of algorithimically adulterated voting machines – the Democrats have outplayed us.

Game, set, match. And now, because of the indifference and inaction of the Republican Establishment, the Democrats are positioned to forevermore annihilate any Republican victory of consequence, most certainly in all national and statewide races. How can our Leadership be so blind to this? Republicans will never win the big elections again. Democrat election fraud is already all-encompassing. If we "move on" now, if Democrats pay no price for their treachery, we can only expect worse in the future – and it is hard to imagine what could be worse. There will be no "next election." There will be no 'setting things right.' There will be no "next time" to hope for. Once the right to vote is effectively stripped from us – directly or indirectly, we will be abandoned to fraud, nihilism, and misery – forever. The Republican Party's establishment is killing us softly, with the arrogance to presume we will 'go gentle into that good night.'
