Democrat spokesmen at the US Senate admitted today that Climate Change legislation is taking a hammering. Can they be surprised when it is being forced on people who know the laws will damage the economy and their own lives? But don’t clap – it has only been put on hold until next year, because government fears the vote. For them, it is too soon to reveal their true colours. It is very frustrating to want power and money and to have to wait! You’ve got to sympathise.
Sen Debbie Stabenow, though a Democrat, is leading heartlanders in an attempt to protect manufacturing and agricultural industries, and says committees are no longer expected to produce a fast raft of law proposals.
Many Democrats also know they face tough re-election obstacles very soon, because Obama has pushed through such drastic demands and ordinary people are already feeling the adverse effects of mythical climate change rhetoric. (Wall Street Journal, 11th Nov).
Meanwhile, in the UK, every family will have to pay another ‘levy’ (tax!) – a total of nearly £10 billion at today’s calculations - for at least the next 20 years, to fund the new technology behind capturing carbon from coal-fired power stations; it will cost hundreds of billions by the end of that term. The Department for Energy and Climate Change says that because the commercial viability of the scheme is in doubt, the public will have to continue its support (taxes! The word ‘support’ implies cooperation instead of dictatorialism) beyond that time. I am sure the British are very honoured to learn this! (The Times, 10th Nov).
Carbon capture or ‘sequestration’ is very difficult to do, and even more expensive than anyone knows. And for what? Carbon does nothing to the atmosphere, breaks down fairly quickly and needs no meddling. It is taxation for no reason, as with everything to do with ‘climate’.
But it doesn’t end there… the British will have to pay for the mythical ‘cure’ called carbon capture AND pay at least £15,000 each to install equipment to help cut CO2 emissions! (A bit like digging your own grave). That’s just the start. This extra spend does not include buying new CO2 free cars, paying extra for CO2 friendly electricity production, and so on.
In my book on the subject I warned that costs will go up so high no ordinary family will be able to use heating (so pity old folks who have even less), use cars, or live normal lives. What will follow will be government loans that can’t be repaid by struggling families. Government is already talking about hiking up electricity bills yet again to pay for these follies. Do you know what is sickening about it all? The fact that British MPs are now demanding £100,000 salaries instead of their current £60,000 plus stolen expenses. They can pass whatever laws they like, but none of them will ever lose out or pay towards the bill, because the citizens will pay for it.
Climate Change bills are illusory. They can do nothing to stop what is itself an illusion anyway. Climate is changing within normal boundaries; there is nothing unusual about it. So, why aren’t the people kicking up a big fuss? Why tolerate the ‘change’ Obama is so intent on foisting on the nation – a change so radical and preposterous that it cannot be justified?
No man can change climate. Cutting CO2 is a delusion without teeth. It has no value at all. CO2 does not affect climate and no genuine science can say otherwise. In fact, real science states that cutting CO2 will do damage to the planet, starving it of essential gases. Everything about green claims and ‘solutions’ are a delusion. It is about time governments everywhere took a stiff dose of reality.
The reason for this climate garbage is very simple – it reduces the ability of the people to live properly. People will become much poorer (except for senators and MPs), and will be unable to vote anyone out of office. The communist manifesto demands that a nation is run down to its barest minimum if it is to accept the many abominations rulers wish to impose. The idea is to grind us down so that we accept anything, no matter how dramatic or unworthy. Look at history! It is being played out right now in your own life.
