I admit, I occasionally read Mad magazine as a kid. Every feature in it was strange and weird. I was transported to a parallel world of the absurd, the nonsensical. That was, I suppose, part of the attraction. I know I didn't join their ranks because, in spite of the entertainment value, I still, even now, think it was weird. Not so for millions of others.
I scan about 50 or 60 news articles a week, mostly to keep in touch with what is going on in order to sound intelligent when I write my own articles. The problem today is I sometimes feel like I'm living in a Mad magazine.
The mainstream media reports this stuff as progressive, a higher order of morality. The conservative press reports it as it is, a degeneration of our culture. Even Rush Limbaugh commented that..."Our nation's sanity depends on people avoiding the drive-by [mainstream] media."

The Blaze: San Francisco Has Allocated $100 Million to Clean Human Poop. Each member of the poop patrol will make over $184,000 year in salary and benefits. (RD: The poop is re-appearing faster than they can clean it up...job security.)
Daily Wire: Killer Ted Bundy Recipient of White Privilege. Notorious serial killer Ted Bundy apparently got away with it for so long because of white privilege, according to actor Zac Efron, who plays Bundy in the new film, "Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile."

Among most Democrats and Liberal groups, there is an irrational hatred for anything conservative, Christian or traditional. Any lucid person would have their own set of time-honored values. Jews, Christians, Buddhists, or non-jihadi Muslims would have their traditions. To the Left and radical Muslims, they actually lose sleep over people exercising those values. For the Left, there is no conversation. You are either one of them or you are a racist and a Nazi.
A political science journal, The American Journal of Political Science, said several years ago that conservatives were more likely to be associated with psychotic-ism. In 2012 they published a correction saying they were wrong, they were in error. They now say it is liberal political beliefs that are psychotic.
How is any normal traditional human being supposed to maintain a level of normalcy, when you come across this stuff? What you do is decide that criticism and negativity make you stronger. You don't join. Your values are stronger than theirs. You know that a dog will howl at the moon, but the moon never howls back.
Reading MAD is one thing, allowing yourself to live in it is quite another.
