Many Americans still believe there's a smoking gun document in the Kennedy assassination records

I'm also certain that there is no smoking gun document in the Kennedy assassination records, and if there ever was such a document, it was destroyed long ago. The real smoking gun is all the eye witness accounts and evidence the Warren Commission left out of their report because it contradicted the lone gunman and magic bullet nonsense they were peddling. I say that because all of the eye witnesses that contradicted the lone gunman and magic bullet hogwash was left out of the Warren Commission Coverup.

Moreover, if Oswald was a lone gunman, as the Washington swamp and their media propagandists claim, then all the evidence would point to Oswald, and the FBI and CIA would have no objection to releasing any of the Kennedy assassination records to the public. However, some of the documents could expose contradictory facts and inconsistencies that the deep state doesn't want the public to know about. So what are they hiding? They are hiding evidence that exonerates Oswald and points to a deep state conspiracy. They are hiding evidence that connects Oswald to the CIA and military intelligence.

In other words, the deep state is withholding facts and evidence that proves Oswald was not a lone gunman. One such fact is a news reporter that ran into the Schoolbook Depository right after the last shot was fired, looking for a pay phone, identified Oswald as the man that took him to a pay phone on the first floor. They also ignored the testimony of a Dallas cop that ran into the building a few minutes after the shooting and saw Oswald drinking a coke in the cafeteria on the second floor.

In addition, the first investigators to reach the sniper's nest on the 6th floor of the Texas Schoolbook Depository identified the weapon they found as a 7.65 caliber Mauser. For those that don't know, the manufacturer and caliber of a rifle is stamped on the barrel of the rifle itself. And the caliber of a cartridge is stamped on the bottom of the cartridge around the firing cap. The cartridge identification is known asthe headstamp, and any cop, FBI agent, gun collector or veteran would know that.

In other words, there's no way the Dallas cops or the FBI could possibly confuse one rifle manufacturer with another or the caliber of one spent cartridge with another unless they were totally illiterate or walking around with their eyes closed. This is where the initial identification of the rifle and spent cartridges becomes important. For instance, if the Dallas police or the FBI wanted to know the manufacturer or caliber of any rifle in their hands, all they had to do was read it off of the barrel of the rifle itself, like Deputy Sheriff Roger Craig did after the finding the rifle on the 6th floor of the Schoolbook Depository.

In fact, Roger Craig went on record saying, "stamped right on the barrel of the rifle was 7.65 Mauser." And, in an affidavit, Deputy Constable Seymour Weitzman, swore that the rifle they found was a 7.65 caliber Mauser. Weitzman later changed his story to the rifle was a 6.5 caliber Italian Carcano for the Warren Commission. Since Oswald didn't own a German Mauser, the murder weapon had to be an Italian Carcano--a weapon owned by Oswald.

Moreover, I will always believe that the original rifle found on the 6th floor of the Texas Schoolbook Depository, and reported by Dallas Police, was a 7.65 caliber Mauser. That's because Deputy Craig said he read it off of the barrel of the rifle, which is where that information would have been. Everyone familiar with firearms knows where to find that information. And, I vividly remember watching the evening news with my dad on November 22, 1963.

In that broadcast, a Dallas cop was shown holding up a rifle that was found on the 6th floor of the School Book Depository, and I remember what my dad said when he saw the rifle the cop was holding up. He said, "that's a 7.65 German Mauser." My dad's identification of the rifle was verified when the newscaster also identified it as a 7.65 Mauser. Since my father owned a 7.65 German Mauser, I know that he did not misidentify the rifle shown in the broadcast.

Then, several days later, on the evening news, the media started showing a picture of a Dallas cop holding up a rifle that everyone thought was the same rifle that had been shown several nights before. However, my dad immediately knew it was a different rifle. Upon seeing the picture of the cop holding up the rifle, and before the newscaster said anything about the caliber or manufacturer of the rifle, my dad blurted out, "they found another rifle?"

He immediately knew it wasn't the same rifle the media had shown several nights before. As a result, he concluded they had found another rifle. The point is this: He knew it wasn't a 7.65 Mauser just by looking at a picture of it, and he said, "that's one of those junky Italian rifles", and he grabbed his Shooters Bible to look it up. He said, "you couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with that piece of junk, if it's what I think it is."

To put my dad's knowledge of firearms into perspective, he was an avid gun collector. He owned an 1895 German Mauser, a 30 caliber 1908 US Springfield rifle, a 303 caliber British rifle, as well as German and US rifles from world war 2 that included a 7.92 German Mauser and a U.S. M-1 Garand rifle. He owned many other rifles and shotguns. I would trust his identification of a firearm over the media's or the FBI's because of his knowledge of firearms and the fact that he had no reason to lie about the identity of any of the rifles shown by the media.

Many years later, I asked my dad if he thought the Dallas cops switched rifles, and he said, "somebody switched rifles because the rifle they claim Oswald used to kill Kennedy isn't the same rifle that was shown on the news the day Kennedy was killed." When I asked him if he could have misidentified the rifle he saw back then, he replied, "Absolutely not!" He said, "Son, I know the difference between a junk Italian rifle and a German Mauser." He added, "the first rifle that was shown on the news right after Kennedy was killed was a 1908 model 7.65 German Mauser."

My dad's identification of the rifle that was shown by the media on the day Kennedy was assassinated matches what Deputy Sheriff Roger Craig read right off of the barrel of the rifle that was found on the 6th floor of the Texas Schoolbook Depository. That's why I will always believe that the rifles were switched to incriminate Oswald. And, if I add that to all the evidence that contradicts the Warren Commission's Report, I'm left with a conspiracy that involves multiple government agencies as well as the Vice President of the United States, Lydon B. Johnson.

For those that don't know, the Soviet KGB concluded that the assassination of President Kennedy was an inside job, and that Vice President Lyndon Johnson was involved in the plot. The KGB also claimed to have evidence linking American intelligence operatives, the leadership of the Secret Service, the FBI, and the former director of the CIA, Alan Dulles, with the assassination plot.

To back this up, an AP report in 2017 stated: "Even the former Soviet Union’s intelligence agency had a theory about who killed President John F. Kennedy. That’s according to long-secret files on the assassination released Thursday. In a 1966 letter to a presidential assistant, FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover wrote that KGB officials claimed to have information “purporting to indicate” President Lyndon B. Johnson had a role in the assassination. Those instructions contained the assertion that the KGB had information tying Johnson to an assassination plot, according to the source."

The AP article goes on to say, "Former FBI director J. Edgar Hoover had concerns that the American public would be skeptical that Lee Harvey Oswald assassinated John F. Kennedy. That’s according to the latest trove of records released this week on the 1963 killing. Hoover dictated the memo two days after the assassination and just hours after nightclub owner Jack Ruby fatally shot Oswald in Dallas... He (Hoover) said he wanted to have “something issued so we can convince the public that Oswald is the real assassin.” That something that Hoover wanted issued to convince the public that Oswald was the real assassin was the Warren Report.
