Mark Carney: Nothing to See Here--including His Ability to be Prime Minister

Recently there has been chatter amongst the Leaders of the Opposition Parties that Mark Carney is hiding. Quite a few Canadians are also beginning to pick up on:

1. His absence
2. The Liberal media PR campaign on all things Trump, to work to keep Carney up in the polls.

Funny how Carney can, all of a sudden, have meetings with this U.S. committee when:

1. Nothing had affected Canada regarding the tariffs
2. Carney needed to be in Ottawa to ensure he could practice for the debates coming up this week.

And boy-oh-boy does he need practice. Not only is he placing Canada at a disadvantage with the U.S. with his retaliatory tariffs (seek out Ian Lee) but Carney, even after that meeting with his purported “committee” didn’t have anything to say to reporters.

The Liberals just wanted Canadians to see Carney’s face after the meeting trying to portray him as working very hard for Canadians--when to some, he was merely practicing for the debates.

But it’s his response, to any reasonable question, about him and/or his ability to govern, is what Canadians should be very concerned with.

Since he became Prime Minister (which some of us still question):

“On Monday, the newly-minted Liberal leader was asked totally legitimate questions about his “blind trust” by the CBC’s Rosemary Barton and the Globe’s Stephanie Levitz. Barton and Levitz essentially wanted to know why Carney didn’t disclose his financial holdings when he could have.

"Levitz went first, querying Carney about the whereabouts of his millions. Carney’s response: “What possible conflict would you have, Stephanie? … Point final.”

"Get that? “Point final.” That’s kind of the English equivalent of saying, in French, “This discussion is over, child.

"Barton wasn’t deterred by that. She said it “was very difficult to believe” Carney could have no possible conflicts of interest. At that point, Carney’s patrician mask fully slipped. “Look inside yourself, Rosemary,” he actually said. You are “trying to invent new rules,” he snapped at her. You are acting with “ill will,” he barked at the CBC veteran broadcaster.

"Well, no. She was just doing her job. But in those few seconds, Carney revealed himself to be arrogant, pompous, evasive and condescending. He looked terrible — all that was missing was him gnawing at an apple."(Toronto Sun)

The reconstituted TruAnon cult sprinted to his defence — possible new appellations for the Liberal winged monkeys: ‘Mark-eteers’, ‘Mark-anon’, The Central Bank Cult, Team Goldman or (my personal favourite) ‘The Carnvoy’ — and slimed Barton and Levitz and all of the news media for the impertinence of asking their deity, you know, questions. But the damage had been done.

Damaging, because reliable stories have been circulating in Ottawa for days that Carney — while pointedly charming in public, in a debutantes-ball Michael Ignatieff/John Kerry canapés-and-caviar sort of way—has been decidedly different in private. The way in which he talked down to Barton and Levitz? That, we are told, is how Carney has been with myriad cabinet ministers, caucus members, candidates and staff. Firings, insults, superciliousness. As in: Not nice.”(Emphasis CFP's)

Then there is his response regarding his affiliation with China. We’ve already seen the love affair between the Liberals and China, but his response is Trumpian when asked about his relationship with China. “Right after his quarrel with Globe and Mail. The media outlet reported yesterday, that Carney met with a pro-Beijing group, despite being photographed with its members.

"Prime Minister Mark Carney attacked the Globe and Mail, denying the report and saying he never met with the group in question. Meanwhile, more media reports are coming out about Carney’s investment firm, Brookfield, and its use of tax havens.”

Now, we all need to understand that in August of 2020 there were articles stating that Carney had become the economic advisory to the Liberal government. This appointment was during his time with Brookfield and just after he got England in trouble with their economic recovery from Brexit. “Mark Carney — the former governor of the Bank of Canada and the Bank of England — has been acting as an informal adviser to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on the federal government's response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Carney "certainly has been advising the PM through different phases of this," said a senior government official speaking on background. "I'd hope we can count on him for more."

Why in the world would Canadians want a Prime Minister who undermined the UK, as the Governor of the Bank of England, by “facilitate[ing] the Bank of China’s global expansion. In a 2013 speech, Carney announced that the Bank of England had signed an agreement with the People’s Bank of China to support the internationalization of the Renminbi, describing it as a global good." But then we merely have to look at what had been brought forward from the Chinese Under-secretary General for Economic and Social Affairs, and his promotion for purported recovery from the pandemic:

“An effective green recovery package should also include levying or increasing carbon taxes and winding down fossil fuel subsidies, allowing the market price to provide signals that encourage sustainable consumption and investment. The historically low oil price — a result of collapsed demand in the midst of the pandemic—has made introducing a carbon tax and phasing out fossil fuel subsidies more palatable to the public, thereby entailing less political cost. It can be shown that even a substantial carbon tax of $54 per metric ton of CO2—a level that falls within the estimated range required to meet the Paris Agreement—would only lead to an increase of less than 50 cents per gallon for gasoline in the United States, which would still keep the gasoline prices at very low levels.”{1}

This was, also, the same Chinese representative who encouraged Nations to shift “budget allocations away from military expenditures to social protection programmes. Military expenditures in developing countries account for some 40 per cent of the average cost of the social protection floor package.”{1}

With the ties Carney has to China through his various deals and his association with various climate groups that threaten our National security—he is not fit to be Canada’s prime minister as he is not working in the best interest of Canadians—he is working in the best interest of Mark Carney and the Liberal Party.

We’ve seen the Liberal Party in action for far too long. Why does the country think Ontario went to the PCs and the Liberal Party may or may not even have party status in Ontario? The betrayal is real but their promises are NOT. China, failed Green Economy, and marching orders from Xi Jinping…do you think?
