Message From An Angel
Now having dried my tears, I wish that everyone had a Kathie in their lives
As only one of some 15 million people told one week ago Friday by Ontario Premier Doug Ford that this province—home to 39 percent of all Canadians—“could see more than 10,000 coronavirus cases by day by the end of May”, I’ve been living in hope that his dire doom and gloom predictions will not lead to a public panic.
Knowing how silently stoic Canadians truly are, I don’t see much chance of it ever happening.
"We're losing the battle between the variants and vaccines ... We're on our heels”
In my books, public panic would be much more fearsome than a pandemic whose provable death toll remains unknown—even after more than a year.
Still, it boggles the mind that none of Ford’s statistics—based on Revised Modelling suggesting that a six-week stay-at-home order with an average of 100,000 vaccinations per day “is the only way to flatten the curve” were ever proven.
Jaw-dropping that not a single one of Ford’s 23 ‘Conservative’ cabinet members stepped up to demand proof of statistics, or to even caution the premier about the potential results that can come with fear-mongering.
"We're losing the battle between the variants and vaccines ... We're on our heels” —Premier Doug Ford, Friday, April 16, 2021.
Within 24 hours of dropping these words at a televised press conference, Ford walked back his order for random police stops on motorists and the closure of children’s playgrounds.
Mind you, a majority of police forces had flatly refused his stop-and-question orders.
Ignoring all calls for resignation, Ford is now in self-isolation at his late mother’s house having proved negative for a Coronavirus for which he had already been vaccinated, but having been in contact with a staff member who tested positive.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, rumored to be getting ready for a federal Election call, is relatively MIA.
So far so good. If you can call a 15-million population living with only curbside privileges, good.
At daybreak today, came a treasured email from our longtime friend, Kathie in Florida
For the first time in our 24-year history online, many of our American friends believe what is happening in Canada is just as bad—if not worse—than what is going on in America.
Without identifying their locations out of fear of them being doxxed, they include friends like Kathie, Joe, Dub, Katherine, Tony, Cynthia, Dave, Ilene, Pam, Jerry, Barbara, Jo, Don, Audrey, Bruce, Paul, Pat in Texas, Patricia in Arizona, Susan, Cathy, Bob, Dave, Glen and so many, many others.
We are worried in particular about Totsy, who is awake nights worrying about us.
Totsy is Queen of CFP’s often under siege Comment Section, and it’s no exaggeration to say that CFP would be lost without her.
This message is to let friends know that Brian and I are fine and still online, even though considerably slowed down by having, like everyone else, to live our lives, curbside.
At daybreak today, came a treasured email from our longtime friend, Kathie in Florida.
We met Kathie in Washington, D.C. at Glenn Beck’s 9/12 Project in 2009, and she has been part of our lives ever since.
Like millions of people who sold their houses with nowhere to go because of the pandemic, Kathie counts on God Almighty to see her and her husband through:
Kathie’s heartfelt message brought me to spontaneous tears
“Another wonderful piece by you. I am crying with you. I wish we could bring you here,” she wrote.
“Sorry for my lack of communication. We have to be out of our home on May 20th, but have just now gotten confirmation that the sale will indeed happen. And, as a result, we have no place to go . I know that God will rescue us though."
The next part of Kathie’s heartfelt message brought me to spontaneous tears:
“Each day I offer my Communion up for you knowing that you are unable to receive. It’s all so very sad.
“I never dreamed that our lives would end this way, but my faith allows me to cope knowing that we are on a journey, and our destination will bring us together in peace and love.
"Blessings and love,
Kathie”
Because all churches within miles of our house are no longer open, Kathie’s message comes as a godsend.
I call it “Message from an Angel”.
God provides homes for all angels both here down on Earth and Above.
Now having dried my tears, I wish that everyone had a Kathie in their lives.
