At this moment, less than 6 months before a crucial election, Barack Obama has come down squarely on the side of same sex marriage and Mitt Romney stands firmly on the side of traditional marriage. That is our choice. How we got to this point doesn't matter both have now taken a position, by belief or for political expediency. What does matter, however, is the truth. The truth of what is in their hearts, not what is politically expedient. And the truth of our beliefs. Which do we believe? Is it necessary to redefine marriage in order to insure that people are afforded rights? I don't think so. The dictionary defines marriage as a relationship between 2 spouses. So to understand the meaning of marriage, one has to look-up "spouse". And there is the real issue. A spouse is defined as a husband or a wife. So, equal rights for all? Absolutely.
