In the signature humble style of ‘little guy hero’, Nadra Enzi, aka “Cap”, (TheCaptainBlack), comes this straight-to-the-heart humble appeal for help:“You’re more than welcome to share economic energy with me because honestly, I've nearly given up on everything!”

Scarcely able to keep up with Rent, Food & Monthly Bills, Nadra is trying to raise $18,000 in a last-ditch GoFundMe effort.

“I thought you might be interested in supporting this GoFundMe.

Direct message to Nadra from Canada Free Press, which posts his columns: “Don’t give up, our troubled world needs you more than ever!”

Nadra Enzi, Cap in his byline, is part of what CFP calls its “Cherished Louisiana Wing”, along with columnist colleague, WGSO New Orleans talk show radio man Jeff Crouere, and Queen of CFP’s (floundering without her) Comment Section, Cajun spitfire Totsy.

CFP would be lost without them.

Over the years from his humble post, unsung hero, hardworking Nadra has made steady progress in often overlooked areas that make a difference in the lives of ordinary people.

Not everyone can write from a cush Fox News perch like a Sean Hannity or Jesse Watters.

Nadra Enzi creates safety with grassroots community members and those he calls "radiators of revelry": bar owners, managers, staff and event planners”.

"*Project 21 member Nadra Enzi recently received the 2019 “Hero of Home Defense” award from the Home Defense Foundation.

Nadra, also known as “Cap Black,” is a self-described “safety creator” in New Orleans. In his neighborhood, he has assisted law enforcement in the arrest of almost 20 suspected criminals during 2018 and 2019. He advises residents and businesses on public safety issues and helps victims work with police to try to resolve the crimes committed against them.(Project 21--Black Leadership Network)

* UPDATE: Nadra no longer belongs to Project 21.

“The Home Defense Foundation bills itself as “[n]eighbors teaching neighbors about home and self-defense” as well as “[o]rganizing homeowners and taxpayers into a political force.” Among its board of advisors is Jeff Crouere, a talk radio show host on WGSO-New Orleans who regularly features guests from Project 21 and the National Center.
“Nadra says:
“I accepted this award on behalf of safety advocates and concerned citizens ignored by elites in media and politics. Not all urban residents hate police, prosecutors and those engaged in lawful self-defense. I’m a proud voice for them.
This was a great honor!
“He adds:
“If you are a safety creator, police and prosecutors are your allies against adversaries happy to make life a nightmare. “Some don’t want to hear this story told – but kudos to those who do!”
“Besides his work with Project 21, Nadra is the founder of the Urban Safety Committee and an apprentice member of the National Association of Fugitive Recovery Agents.”

Operating in the social media-suppressed field of smaller independent news sites, can bring about economic and even serious health challenges.

About the GoFundMe call out within the past 24 hours, Nadra explains:

“Cap here. A SUPER friend (I don't have many lol) suggested to do this "after all the people you helped at the Healing Center.” “So here goes.

“After being unjustly fired from my Safety and Support Manager job at above mentioned place in April 2020, the HEIGHT of the pandemic, btw I was plunged into borderline clinical depression according to a counselor and the plunge continues even now in 2023.
“I've gone from being barely able to walk a block (no lie!) and not doing usual daily physical training to daily exercise and wellness walking once more, but it took nearly TWO years.
“Suicidal thoughts however have been constant and after three people I know doing so during pandemic shutdowns, not merely an abstraction.
“I've had a few wonderful "Safe Fun" event security management gigs and several horrible longterm assignments since returning to seeking work last year.
“Currently, I'm between assignments (translation: unemployed!) and not getting positive responses on inquiries.
“Rent, utilities, food, phone, etc are a monthly guessing game.
“I thought you might be interested in supporting this GoFundMe.
“Even a small donation could help reach the fundraising goal. And if you can't make a donation, it would be great if you could share the fundraiser to help spread the word.
“Thanks for taking a look!”
“You're more than welcome to share economic energy with me because honestly, I've nearly given up on everything!”
No Giver should ever be “nearly giving up on everything”.

That’s why CFP is asking readers to respond to Nadra’s GoFundMe shout out—-
