Supporters of the mosque being built near Ground Zero are saying they stand for religious freedom in America.

But what they are really saying to America is: get over 9/11. President Obama joined those supporters this past Friday night at a White House dinner celebrating Ramadan when he said: “I believe that Muslims have the same right to practice their religion as anyone else in this country. That includes the right to build a place of worship and a community center on private property in lower Manhattan.” Never mind that the address of the proposed mosque is just a couple of blocks from where almost three thousand Americans were murdered in a terrorist attack by 10 Muslims on September 11, 2001. Twenty years of learning at the feet of his pastor and mentor Reverend Wright, and kicking off his presidency by touring Muslim countries apologizing for America’s religious intolerance of Islam, and now giving his full support of building a mosque at Ground Zero should be argument enough that President Obama probably believes that 9/11 was only America’s “chickens coming home to roost” -- and that Americans should get over it. It seems obvious now that President Obama is simply tired of having 9/11 thrown in his face every time a “Muslim” or “terrorist” issue arises. While President Obama’s attitude of “getting over” things is not very high on his short list of virtues, maybe he should try getting over a few things that just might help his floundering presidency -- and also get our country moving back in the right direction. For starters, President Obama should try getting over: George W. Bush, class warfare, race bating, government run health care, Keynesian economics, government bailouts, amnesty for illegal aliens, socialism, Alinsky politics, cap and trade, man-made global warming, reckless government spending, more taxes and trying to fundamentally transform the United States of America. Try getting over those things Mr. President, and don’t ever expect Americans to get over 9/11.
