President Obama sees leadership as a game of dice, not chess or even poker

Obama's doin' th' hokey-pokey

In 2003, President Bush put the Army in Iraq. In 2011, President Obama pulled the Army out. Then Obama made some fancy budget cuts and shook the Army all about. Now our "lead from behind" Commander-in-Chief wants do the 'big stick' hokey-pokey and shake it all about. This time, by sticking America's foot back in--but just the little toe mind you--sending a few Special Operators back into the Syrian-Iraq battlespace to merely advise anti-ISIS forces.

Gen. Geo. Armstrong Custer led 600+ men into a fight with 3,000 Sioux and got himself killed along with nearly half his command, and now Barack Obama commits a mere 50 warfighters that aren't supposed to fight-to confront 30,000+ rabid religious fanatics that want to die? Radical Islam successfully launched a multi-pronged assault, attacking Paris. How do we know it was a success? The City of Light snuffed out its lights to honor its dead. In response, France's Socialist President François Hollande behaved like a world leader of the first order and declared war on ISIS. America’s socialist President Obama, on the other hand, oozing hubris from every pore, took the stage for a presser at the G20 Conference in Turkey and appeared answer direct questions by 'speaking in tongues', essentially telling the world he would prefer to stand by and watch, lest his "mightiest military in the world" suffer a paper cut! But just maybe he'd pick up the tab for the coffee and sandwiches. Sadly, it seems President Obama sees leadership as a game of dice, not chess or even poker. But he throws craps, and then immediately doubles down with our blood, treasure and reputation; and does it again and again, believing that he can win his legacy back with one more half-hearted roll. Makes one wonder, "Is President Obama the only guy in America who thinks it's the winner's who keep th' lights on in Vegas?" K.J. Dolney Columbia, SC
