Liberal "gun-free paradise"

On the "Guns don't kill people but they make it a lot easier" fallacy

The anti-gun Liberal Left invented a new trick that they are trying to pull on you.
They came up with a deceitful but catchy slogan that "Guns don't kill people but they make it a lot easier," and for an obvious political reason. The first part ("Guns don't kill people") of that claim is clearly true for all guns except those rare specimens that are able to self-activate, like the motion detector-controlled submachine guns that were installed on the East German border before the fall of the Berlin Wall in order to kill those who tried to escape the socialist "paradise". But the "they make it a lot easier" part is, just like so many claims made by the Liberals and Leftists, an unproven nonsense. Try to kill an armed citizen (which I strongly warn you not to), and you will understand why.

Crime statistics also contradict the absurd "they make it a lot easier" claim. For starters, you can read John Lott's classic "More Guns, Less Crime" that provides an overwhelming scientific evidence, presented by a nationally-renowned scholar in mathematical statistics, that guns make us, the law-abiding citizens, safer from and not more vulnerable to homicide. And this is hardly a surprise as an armed victim, who tends to be less violent and physically less able then her assailants, can defend herself with a gun, and very effectively so. And the criminals know damn well about that. Part of the reason for the "More Guns, Less Crime" statistical correlation is that private gun ownership has been a major (if not the main) crime-deterrent in the U.S., as the overwhelming majority of gun owners in America are law-abiding. Their guns make it so much more difficult to kill an innocent and otherwise defenseless person. And the prospective victim doesn't even have to use her gun to chase her attackers away; oftentimes, merely brandishing it makes them change their mind and search for another, more cooperative, prey. But if the imbalance of the gun power in the U.S. shifts the other way around and the criminals have more guns than the law-abiding do, which is an unavoidable consequence of the "gun control" Liberal Left's agenda, then the picture will look totally different as we all become the sitting ducks in the cross-hairs of guns of bandits and other wanna-be redistributors of our wealth. After all, the reason why our military and law enforcement are armed to teeth with all kind of guns is to make sure that the would-be assassins, domestic and foreign, have a really hard time with killing the good American people as they please. So, next time when you listen to the unproven nonsense about guns and how they, allegedly, make it easier to kill people, think what would happen to you and those you love in today's dangerous world of rising gang violence and civil unrest if all the good guys, including perhaps yourself, were unarmed. I don't think you would enjoy being a part of this kind of Liberal "gun-free paradise" that the Liberal Left and its useful idiots are hard-selling to you.
