Canadians have watched the political theater for long enough. Is it time for the Prime Minister and his Cabinet to resign

The Prime Minister knows what he needs to do – but it seems he won’t…

Being non-partisan and having watched the political theater in the Press, the House of Commons and Committee, one has to question what is happening with our government, doesn’t one?

When one thinks that the Prime Minister of Canada has made the statement of “To be quite honest, I know that no matter what I say, Canadians continue to have questions about what we did and what we didn't," Canada has a systemic problem.

If Canadians have this question(s), could that be a sign that all trust, in this government, is gone and is this tied into the many other violations, which have plagued this government, for almost a decade?

Could the erosion of Canadian’s faith in this government, and its institutions, be completely eroded?

From the first violation of the “Conflict of Interest Act” to the now, on-going, fear that a foreign entity(s) interfered with Canadian elections, could the erosion of Canadian’s faith in this government, and its institutions, be completely eroded?

When one thinks that the PMO was accused of interfering with the Attorney General of this Nation; when one thinks about how the Prime Minister has failed the test of ethics regarding Conflict of Interest on more than one occasion; when one thinks about the WE Charity fiasco, SNC Lavalin; etc., etc., etc., one could be of the thought that there is a systemic problem with this government, couldn’t one?

Far more concerning is the bureaucrats that support this government. How can these people, who say they are non-partisan, continue to extend protection and continue to execute the policies of a party(s) that seem to undermine the very foundation of this Nation? Could it be that the civil servants continue with this for their own gains? Unfortunately, it would seem so.

We all need to be cognisant and respect that there are those who voted for this government. We also need to be cognisant that even with the political rhetoric on display, the NDP, Bloc, etc., continue to support this abuse of Canadians. Why and how could any political party even consider sanctioning such actions unless they, themselves, are merely in this for their own selfish gains?

Canadians have watched the political theater for long enough. Is it time for the Prime Minister and his Cabinet to resign? Perhaps so – if for nothing else for the sake of the people of Canada, so we can try and have faith in our government institutions and to move forward ensuring that these “crimes against humanity” and democracy do not continue.

That is for you and your elected officials to decide but if that decision isn’t made soon – to what end will Canada reach?
