Progressives are self-appointed arbiters of ‘social justice,’ and they erroneously equate higher tax rates with ‘equality’ and higher tax revenues

Our Petulant President and Progressives

For the first time in the fast-track career of our petulant President, he and his Progressive confederates have been denied the opportunity to claim a legislative victory at the expense of the taxpaying public! While the ‘compromise’ isn’t perfect, on the surface it looks as if the TEA Party contingent has come to the rescue of all taxpayers, and is instilling basic common sense inside the shallow halls of Congress.

It is time for members in both parties of Congress to address the core challenge regarding our pathetic fiscal issues. Excessive, wasteful spending of taxpayers’ money to buy political contributions and votes from special interest groups has placed our country, and our individual and collective freedoms, in peril. Jealousy is one of the 7 ‘Deadly Sins,’ and its divisiveness is poisonous to all parties. Progressives are self-appointed arbiters of ‘social justice,’ and they erroneously equate higher tax rates with ‘equality’ and higher tax revenues. When they pay taxes, they seek to limit the taxes they pay. Do you remember Senator Kerry’s attempt to evade paying $550,000.00 in taxes on his new yacht? If Progressives are going to demand others to pay higher taxes, shouldn’t they lead by example? How many in this regime have not paid their taxes, yet have been rewarded with high profile, high-power positions? Is Congressman Rangel going to be held legally responsible for his tax evasion? Hasn’t the Bilderberg media abdicated its responsibility to expose the shenanigans of those elected to office? Wouldn’t it be great to have a Wiki Leaks release of all the clandestine shenanigans of all of those in elected office? Politicians, especially career politicians, cease serving the public when they seek to steal more and more of American taxpayers’ earned income to fund their petty agendas. Shouldn’t assessed taxes be limited to fund Constitutional mandates, not to play the nanny state and to fund the agendas of politicians who covet personal privilege, power and wealth? Shouldn’t members of both parties of Congress be held accountable for consistently spending money they knew was not there? Haven’t incoming revenues into Social Security, needed to fund future liabilities, been consistently raided by Congressional pirates in both parties to fund their self-aggrandizing agendas? How can members of Congress sit in judgment of anyone in the private sector when they have they so much for which they should be held accountable? Isn’t the illusion of increased tax revenues collected by raising tax rates a veiled attempt to bailout the members of Congress for their reckless mismanagement of taxpayer monies entrusted to them? Earmarks are irksome, not because of their costs, but because they reveal the built-in inefficiency of taxpayers’ money sent to D. C., only to have it be ‘redistributed’ to cities, counties and states by those currently in power. Earmarks are the fiscal ‘gateway drug’ to irresponsible spending on a grander scale. Cuts in Federal spending are not actual cuts in the manner that the average person or business understands cuts in spending, but are cuts in planned increases. Besides the irresponsible stimulus, real costs of Stealth-Care, the moratorium of drilling for oil, etc., a leading recent cause of our deficit and resultant debt is due to our stubborn ‘under and unemployment’ circumstances. Not only are all levels of government deprived of much needed revenues when unemployment mushrooms, but when individuals qualify for unemployment ‘benefits,’ taxpayer liabilities are compounded. Progressives have abused the trust and earned income of the American taxpayer, making promises to their ‘constituencies’ they inherently know they cannot keep. Until Congressional spending of taxpayers’ money is reigned in, via actual cuts, and legislation is designed to allow us to pull ourselves out from our government-induced fiscal crisis, no genuine trust can be established between the American taxpayer and the narcissistic, petulant Progressives.
