Panic-Stricken World ‘Leaders’ & Media Blaming Trucker Protests On Americans

Panic-Stricken World ‘Leaders’ & Media Blaming Trucker Protests On AmericansAs trucker convoys gain support worldwide, ‘leaders’ and henchmen media are going into panic mode. In their latest attempt to defame truckers, they’re now tossing out the conspiracy that Canadian truckers in Ottawa are not running the show, Americans are; New Zealanders are not fighting for freedom against harsh government-Covid-19 restrictions, but “mystery imported forces” are. “New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern on Monday blamed mysterious “imported” forces for the protests against her vaccine mandates that dominate the national capital. (Breitbart, Feb. 14, 2022)
“Ardern pointed at Canadian flags and Donald Trump images on the streets of Wellington as evidence for her conspiracy claim. “It feels like an imported protest to me,” the left-wing Labour leader and former president of the International Union of Socialist Youth confided in an interview. “I’ve seen Trump flags on the forecourt, I’ve seen Canadian flags on the forecourt,” she told national broadcaster TVNZ, referring to images of former U.S. President Donald Trump allegedly carried by some demonstrators.”
In other words, socialist-in-denial PM Ardern would, in her pique to get rid of the home grown protestors, deny them their New Zealand citizenship which came automatically with their birth.
“Ardern said in a news conference later in the day the protesters have demanded the government remove all public health coronavirus measures. (Breitbart) “That means at the very point where we are seeing an increase in cases and an increase in risk to the public health and well-being of New Zealand, they want to see removed the very measures that have kept us safe, well and alive. You’ll forgive me if I take a very strong view on that suggestion,” Ardern said. "Ardern flagged the thinning patience of authorities.”

New Zealanders kept in lockdowns and those arrested and dragged away by police and with no proof that government Covid restrictions actually work, are not likely to forgive their prime minister.
“I very clearly have a view on the protesters and the way that they’ve conducted their protest because it has moved beyond sharing a view to intimidation and harassment of the people around central Wellington,” she said. “That cannot be tolerated.” (Breitbart) “As Breitbart News reported, Parliament Speaker Trevor Mallard tried to make the protesters uncomfortable last week by turning on lawn sprinklers and blasting out decades-old Barry Manilow songs and the 1990s hit “Macarena” on a repeat loop. “Police on Monday told protesters to move their illegally parked vehicles as soon as possible, offering them alternative parking at a nearby stadium. “Wellingtonians have the right to move freely and safely around the city so all roads being clear is a top priority,” said Superintendent Corrie Parnell, the Wellington district commander. “New Zealand has mandated that certain workers get vaccinated against COVID-19, including teachers, doctors, nurses, police and military personnel. A vaccine pass is also required to enter most stores and restaurants.”

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is also blaming Americans for the Canadian trucker uprising. (DailyWire) And then there’s the anti-trucker diatribe coming from the media bringing up the rear: Rod Dreher, The American Conservative-
“I tweeted over the weekend that I need to learn more about the Canadian truckers’ protest. While I am strongly sympathetic to them, that sympathy is, I hate to admit, not particularly well-informed. I mentioned in the tweet that I was really annoyed in 2020 at the kind of liberal who was unquestioningly sympathetic to all the Black Lives Matters protests, no matter how problematic some of them were, on grounds that racism is bad, so we shouldn’t look to (sic) close at all the protesters. As much as I favor the truckers in principle, I don’t want to be the right-wing equivalent of those people, I tweeted.”
While Dreher was Tweeting from the comfort of a warm setting, hundreds of thousands of Canadian truckers and their supporters braved the bitter winter cold in Ottawa, trying to buy Freedom back for the world’s children and grandchildren—many of them born two years ago who have rarely seen their own grandparents’ faces without the grotesque Covid face mask. For a miserable long two years, many children were forbidden playtime in parks and cops even dragged kids off of skating rinks. Many of these kids miss their classroom peers, having to ‘’attend” school online. Small wonder photos from the Ottawa protest showing children at play are perceived by those who see them as delightful!

Back to wise guy Dreher.
“A Canadian reader responded via e-mail.
For anyone reading this “A” is a single Canadian reader.
“Hi Rod… saw your tweet about your uncertainty about full support for the “truckers” (which most protesters are not at this point). I’m Canadian and have been following the protests and the media coverage of them. “I think your uncertainty is a realistic response. It is simply not always clear whether the protesters deserve support. Uncertainty is actually a sensible place to be.” “Points to consider: “1. the protesters represent perhaps 10% of Canadians–their view, which is not anti-vax but anti-mandate/ restrictions, is a minority view, but one held by a reasonable number of people. Yet the majority of Canadians, elite and non-elite, really dislike the protests, and think the protesters are in the wrong.”
TRUDEAU

Skipping through the blah-blah-blah from Points Two through Five, we come to point six.
“6. as a Canadian, I see the deep influence of American culture on this protest, more than on most protests… this is coming into Canada via internet/ social media. The phrase “Make Canada Great Again” is NOT rooted in Canada or any mythology of past greatness as the US has, it just draws on MAGA. Same with the stress on “freedom,” a word with huge resonance in the US but not much to date in Canada. We see here the power the internet is having over culture, in multiplying the already strong US influence that used to come only through TV/ movies. “Those are just a few random thoughts. I feel some sympathy for the protesters, but also a deep concern that they have gone too far, they should have unwound the protests after making their point, and they should stay away from the borders. “ “I appreciate the perspective. I invite other Canadian readers to share theirs in the comments section.” (Dreher)
As for me, I like the perspective sent to me this morning by American pundit Paul Bush: RELATED: The Freedom Convoy To End Covid Tyranny Is Getting Results All Over The World COVER
