Tolerance is an agreement to live in peace, not an agreement to be peaceful no matter the conduct of others. A peace treaty is not a suicide pact.Tolerance ends when it attempts to coerce approval, not simply live side by side with other beliefs. Attempting to destroy or contaminate time-tested, long standing values, social or religious is not tolerance, but speaks of a suicide pact. People can accept, but need not favor mores known to be harmful even though the adherent or people in authority are unconvinced or have other agendas. The next presidential election will be the clearest choice of any election I can remember. Today, we are seeing governments sell our children lifestyles that most of us do not approve of. Yes, we can say that. And we should say it more often.
