Planned Parenthood Defunding Expires, Pro-Life Groups Call for Congress to Act

A one-year prohibition on federal Medicaid funding for Planned Parenthood expired Saturday, restoring taxpayer dollars to the nation’s largest abortion business on America’s 250th birthday.

The expiration prompted strong condemnation from pro-life advocates who called on Congress and President Trump to immediately restore the defunding.

The ban, part of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act signed by President Trump on July 4, 2025, had blocked Medicaid reimbursements to Planned Parenthood and similar abortion organizations that kill unborn babies. Man Convicted of Murdering His Girlfriend and Her Unborn Baby

On July 1, after less than three hours of deliberation, a Nashville jury found Blaise Taylor guilty of killing his pregnant girlfriend and their 24-week-old unborn child. Later that same day, the jury recommended a sentence of life in prison.

The 30-year-old Taylor was convicted of second-degree murder for the death of Jade Benning, first-degree premeditated murder for the death of her unborn child, and two counts of felony murder covering both deaths. ---More...

Planned Parenthood Could Get $600 Million Unless Republicans Act

As the U.S. celebrated its 250th birthday, Planned Parenthood cheered the return of hundreds of millions of dollars in Medicaid funding as lawmakers failed to extend the law banning its federal funding.

The Republican-controlled Congress missed the deadline to extend the prohibition of Planned Parenthood’s Medicaid funding which expired on July 4.

The nation’s largest abortion provider originally lost this funding in July 2025 when President Trump signed the One, Big, Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA) into law. Little Sisters of the Poor Return to Court to Fight Abortion Mandate

Attorneys for the Little Sisters of the Poor will appear before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit tomorrow to ask the court to block a nationwide ruling that rejected the Catholic nuns’ protection from the federal government’s abortion mandate.

The Little Sisters have spent more than a decade defeating government efforts to force them to provide abortifacient contraceptives in their healthcare plan or face tens of millions of dollars in fines.
