Planned Parenthood Permanently Closes Abortion Center in Albuquerque

Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains has permanently closed its Northeast Heights abortion facility in Albuquerque.

The closure comes just months after the center reopened and resumed killing babies in abortions.

A closure notice posted at the site states: “THIS HEALTH CENTER IS PERMANENTLY CLOSED.” The notice directors customers to Planned Parenthood’s Eubank Health Center as of July 13.

Abortion Free New Mexico reported on April 9 that the Northeast Heights facility had reopened and begun doing abortions again.

The permanent shutdown follows another recent consolidation in the city. In July, Alamo Women’s Clinic closed its Montgomery Boulevard location and combined operations with Southwestern Women’s Options on Lomas Boulevard to continue killing babies. ---More...

Maura Healey Defends Signing Abortions Up to Birth: I’m a “Proud Catholic”

Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey’s office defended her signing of a law that legalizes abortions up to birth.

Healey claims she is a “proud Catholic,” even as pro-life leaders and Catholic officials condemned the measure as a radical expansion that allows the killing of viable unborn children up to the moment of birth.

Healey signed H.5595 on August 10. The law, which takes effect November 8, eliminates prior requirements that abortions at or after 24 weeks be limited to cases involving the mother’s life or physical or mental health, or certain serious fetal diagnoses.

It now essentially makes it so the abortionist can sign off on any abortion for any reason up to birth. ---More...

McKenna West Will Fight in Court for Custody of Baby Gabriel

Surrogate mother McKenna West is preparing a court battle for custody of Baby Gabriel, the newborn she carried and delivered after refusing the biological parents’ demand that she abort him because of a prenatal diagnosis.

West, an Alaska nurse and single mother of two, gave birth to the boy on August 12 in the Dallas area.

The child was diagnosed at about 20 weeks with hypoplastic left heart syndrome, a severe but treatable heart condition that requires a series of surgeries beginning in the first weeks of life. The biological parents, Nausheen Gilkar and Omar Ahmed of California, invoked a clause in the surrogacy contract allowing abortion for an “anomaly” and asked West to kill Gabriel.

West refused.

She traveled to Texas before the birth so she would be recognized as the birth mother under state law and named the infant Gabriel. ---More...

Argentina President Javier Milei Joins America’s International Pro-Life Coalition

Argentina under President Javier Milei has joined the Geneva Consensus Declaration, the U.S.-led international pro-life coalition of more than 40 nations that affirms there is no international right to abortion

The coalition, which has been around for several years, prioritizes protecting human life at every stage, including before birth.

Foreign Minister Pablo Quirno and U.S. Ambassador Peter Lamelas signed the declaration on behalf of Argentina on August 10. Quirno publicly confirmed the accession days later, describing it as focused on the “protection of human life.”

The Geneva Consensus Declaration was launched in 2020 during President Donald Trump’s first term. It explicitly states that there is no international right to abortion and that “in no case should abortion be promoted as a method of family planning.” ---More...
