Police: Woman sought in Columbia gas station shooting, employee taken to Shock Trauma

Howard County Police have released footage of a woman shooting a gas station employee during an attempted robbery in Columbia, Maryland


Howard County police are searching for a woman after a shooting at a gas station in Columbia.

County police said officers were called around 7:43 p.m. Friday to a Shell gas station on Cradlerock Way, where an employee was shot. Police said the victim was taken to Shock Trauma Center with serious injuries.

"Immediately I felt really terrible because we come here all the time for gas and to stop in and I know most of the employees," said Shane, a man who frequents the Shell Gas station. "(The victim) is an older gentleman who is such a kind-hearted, beautiful soul and so for this to happen is just outrageous." ---More...


The shooting occurred on Friday evening at the Shell gas station on the 7200 block of Cradlerock Way. The male victim, a clerk at the store, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
