The 2010 Toyota RAV4 comes in two engine sizes: - Toyota's new four-cylinder powerhouse, the 2.5 L engine introduced on the 2009 models, returns for 2010, delivering additional horsepower and improved fuel efficiency over the 2.4 L four-cylinder it replaced. This engine delivers 179 peak horsepower and up to 172 lb-ft of torque. Coupled to a four-speed automatic Super Electronically Controlled transmission, four-cylinder RAV4 models enjoy a combined city/highway fuel efficiency of 8.3 L / 100 KM in 2WD editions and 8.6 L / 100 KM in 4WD models. - V6 models feature Toyota's proven 3.5 L six-cylinder, which generates 269 peak horsepower and up to 246 lb-ft of torque.
