Praying By Candlelight Every Night Between Now and Nov. 5

Starting Tonight on this Feast Day of Our Lady Of The Rosary, CFP will begin saying our evening prayers in candlelight.

During the dark days that now beset us, it is all but impossible to light candles at night in a church, leaving many to make their home their church.

The flickering flames of candles during prayer are symbolic of the burning love in our souls for the never-ending love of the Sacred Heart, our only Salvation.

We are grateful to remember reading about how Catholic apologist and great Evangelist Dr. Taylor Marshall prays the Rosary with his family in candlelight each night.

You don’t have to be a Catholic to pray, just talk to God.

Nights are getting darker earlier as beautiful Autumn comes to an end. Howling wolves at the door remind us that Winter is coming with many wondering if they can afford to refill empty oil furnaces when bitter winter winds begin blowing in from the Northeast.

All of this is happening at a time when World Leaders have become the loudest howling wolves at the doors of humanity.

Even though most of it is provably untrue, the ‘News’ on the Web, on cable TV, and all that Google and other social media allow us to see, can be worrisome and downright depressing.

Turn away from the ‘Net and television. The only sanity in our tossed-up world is God Almighty; the only King, his much beloved Son, Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who told us “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” (Matthew 18:20)

Thank God we have the ability to gather our families around us in prayer.

Pray for your neighbors and for the far too many political prisoners tortured without relief in prisons in the U.S. and Canada.

Pray for all people left with no food, no light, and no water, no medicine being ignored by their own government in western North Carolina and in too many other southeast states.

Pray as fervently as possible that Hurricane Milton loses its power before making landfall in Florida.

None of us—and particularly the so-called media purveyors of propaganda —don’t really know what will happen between now and the less than a month away 2024 presidential election—or even if media polls claiming that Kamala Harris will be the winner are valid.

We do know that if a much more people-caring Donald J. Trump makes it past assassination, he will have his hands full trying to right the Good Ship America even in victory.

In Life on Earth, Back-Stabbers now seem to be everywhere.

We do know that God Almighty hears the prayers of all who turn to Him.

We do know that the late Fr. Patrick Peyton was right when he told us all, generations ago that “the family that prays together, stays together”.

Gathering families around us for candlelight prayer, brings peace of mind that no matter what the American and Canadian Marxists plan to throw at humanity next, we can survive it.

None of us should ever forget the words of Christ: “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. (John 14:6)

CFP’s Candlelight Prayer starts at nightfall tonight, and will continue until November 5—no matter what happens.
