Preaching to the Political Choir

Historically, the term preaching to the choir has been viewed as something less than a positive effort. After assessing the information and connecting the dots from two of my previous articles, “Drinking the Kool-Aid” and “Stupid Is as Stupid Does,” I have rethought the need to reassess the value of preaching to the choir. In the historic context of that term, we made the assumption that the choir has no need to hear the sermon. With my current understanding of mass psychosis and stupidity, I believe we definitely need to keep the “choir” engaged.

We must be prepared to help them with the transition from the dark side to the side of good liberty-loving patriots

First, our political choir must vote, each and every one. Then we must remember that in all likelihood, each choir member has family and friends sitting in the pews that are, at least, hearing the sermon and can be influenced more with the encouragement of choir members. In our church pews all are believers to one extent or another. However, in our political pews, there are believers, pew occupants who are not committed believers, even some who are outright non-believers, and others who are downright hostile. Second, as we now understand mass psychosis and stupidity, we need to ignore the hostiles and non-believers. We have learned it is as much a waste of time as banging your head against a brick wall. And that’s exactly what you are doing if you think you can convert them. It just ain’t going to happen. More to the point, we don’t really care if they vote or not. The political preacher, the political choir, and the political believers have to focus their efforts where there is a reasonably good chance of making political headway. Keep the choir and believers fully engaged and committed to voting themselves and believing that every vote counts. Work with the marginal believers and the uncommitted and make sure they get to the polls to vote when the time comes. That is where our focus must be to defeat the evil of the Marxist liberals and their minions in America and Canada today. There is considerable evidence turning up daily that the non-believers and even those hostile are beginning to see the political light and reality of what Marxism is all about because of the damage the Marxist government is doing. As their quality of life continues to deteriorate in North America, more will begin to migrate from their Democrat/liberal heritage to follow the teachings of our Founding Fathers and the historic goodness of America and Canada. We must be prepared to help them with the transition from the dark side to the side of good liberty-loving patriots.

You can’t push a rope, and likewise, you can’t push the committed, progressive, liberal masses that still exist. However, just like a rope, you can pull them along when they have made their own determination that what they have believed is no longer serving them. Don’t shame them; simply praise them when the time is right. Our focus is making sure as many people holding Judeo-Christian values as possible get to the voting booth in all future elections. God willing, we will return Canada and the United States of America to greatness once again. Our job is to get Christians and Jews, who are doubting, back to worship and all patriots into the voting booth. Every family values, patriotic vote counts!
