President Obama is imposing backdoor global warming cap-and-trade regulations through the EPA

Presidential Proclamation of National Energy Action Month Just Before Election is ‘Amusing’

Obama Proclaims October ‘Energy Action Month' Despite Rejecting Pipeline, Threats To Natural Gas And Coal Industries Link to Press Release Washington, D.C. - Senator James Inhofe (R-Okla.), Ranking Member of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works, commented on President Obama's Proclamation of National Energy Action Month.

"I find it highly entertaining that a month before the election, the President who has spent nearly four years working to kill American oil, natural gas and coal production is declaring support for fossil fuels in this year's 'National Energy Action Month,'" Senator Inhofe said. "Given the immense resources our country possesses, every month should be national energy month. Every day of the year, Americans should be able to develop our resources to create millions of new jobs and supply the affordable energy we need to get our economy back on track. Yet, every day, the Obama administration works tirelessly to 'crucify' oil and gas development, and ensure that 'if you want to build a coal plant you got a big problem.' "Let's take a quick look at President Obama real record: he is imposing backdoor global warming cap-and-trade regulations through the EPA to fulfill his campaign promise that energy prices would 'necessarily skyrocket'; he rejected the Keystone pipeline to give the far left what one of his supporters called the biggest global warming 'victory' in years; he finalized the most expensive EPA rule in history to ensure that if anyone wants to build a coal fired plant, it will ‘bankrupt them'; and he threw hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars out the window on companies like Solyndra, which he said would lead us to a 'brighter and more prosperous future.' And just last week, President Obama's former energy czar Carol Browner told the radical environmental left that he isn't done yet and has big plans for them if he wins reelection. It's no wonder that all the Big Green groups have enthusiastically endorsed President Obama for another term. "If this month is to be national energy awareness month, it should be an awareness that President Obama hates oil, gas and coal, and if given four more years, he'll have the 'flexibility' to enact his job killing agenda without having to worry that he'll lose votes."
