The Prime Minister offered his condolences for the victims of Russia’s latest atrocities and reaffirmed Canada’s solidarity with the people of Ukraine
Today, the Prime Minister, Mark Carney, spoke with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Both leaders underscored the urgent need for Russia to immediately cease its strikes on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.
The leaders discussed the new agreement between the United States and Russia to supply millions of tonnes of diesel to the United States. The Prime Minister was clear: this agreement is in direct opposition to the efforts of Ukraine, Canada, and our allies to create peace and stability in Europe. It will provide additional revenue for Russia and help finance its illegal, unjustifiable war against Ukraine. ---More...
