- Harry Riley, COL, USA, Ret Patriots: America sent a message November 2, 2010 to Congress and the Administration that government is to reverse course on major areas impacting "we the people" and guess who, by default, is in charge to do it?

Senator Mitch McConnell, R-KY (who barely won reelection last time) and Rep John Boehner, R-OH, (done nothing while Pelosi has run rough-shod over America) both long-time establishment Washington politicians. Can we really expect these two "old guard" politicians and their faithful companions to grasp the patriot fervor, urgency, no-b.s attitude of "we the people's" demands of November 2, 2010? Common-sense screams there should be a challenge in the next Congress to current leaders.......Senator Jim DeMint in the Senate and Rep Michelle Bachmann in the House of Representatives come to mind as more in tune with implementing November 2, 2010 results. We have won a battle, do we want to trust finishing the next objective of the war with leadership that has fumbled badly in the past??? We've identified a "more of the same" problem area......let's continue on the offensive and take action........not wait to see what happens and then be unable to influence the fix for another two years.........if we can change the leadership in Congress, another step will be taken to return to constitutional government......if we can't then we have sent a strong message we're here and won't leave Washington alone for a minute.........the leadership fight will confirm we're not a single shot movement......but on-going and in-their-face from now on........... The big problem with "giving Boehner a chance" is the danger of "once entrenched" it's near impossible to get out.......there is a small window of opportunity and that is from November 2nd to early January. The new Congress will convene in the first few days of January and that's when the new leadership will be elected in Republican caucus.........can we take a chance of Boehner suddenly growing a "pair"?? He had the responsibility for years to lead, he sat on his duff and allowed Pelosi to run rough-shod over America....Boehner did make one strong speech just before the House vote on the monstrosity Health Care debacle......other than that he was silent..... We need to start the ball rolling yesterday to push for new leadership in the republican party.......the proven members of Congress that "get it" with regard to the November 2, 2010 mandate and should be republicans leaders in the US House and Senate are Rep Michelle Bachmann to challenge Rep Boehner in the US House of Representatives; and Senator Jim DeMint to challenge Senator Mitch McConnell in the US Senate?? Visit Contactingthecongress.org to locate Congressional politicians and tell them a leadership change is required. Obviously it covers only the 111th Congress and does not include the newly elected representatives or senators.........we need that list and contact points as the newly elected people are the ones to convince early they need to be active right now.....not allow the embedded "old guard" to steam roll over them.......... We must continue our push to move all the old school leadership aside and get new leaders that have energy and are motivated by serving our constitution and not themselves, lobbyist, or the party, ignoring "we the people".
