Syrian "refugees"

Putting our own citizens in harm's way

With 10,000 Syrian refugees headed our way, there are hundreds of questions to answer and problems to solve. Many of the questions will be answered by following the money.

What agencies will be paid to handle the resettlement? Will these folks all be covered under Obamacare? What cities or states will bear the brunt ? What adjustments will schools systems have to make? What health screening will be required? Immigrants who follow the legal process are screened before they enter our country. In the case of refugees and those who come here illegally, no such screening occurs. With them comes the potential for disease and crime. There is no doubt that the majority are good people who need a safe haven but we can't be blind to those who use this crisis to enter our country. I can't help but wonder to what extent we will be putting our own citizens in harm's way. Fred Libby
