Putting political campaigns ahead of the truth

I watched the Benghazi hearings and was moved to tears by the emotional and sincere answers provided by Gregory Hicks, Mark Thompson, and Eric Nordstrom.

I cannot fathom a system or a country that can shrugs its shoulders and continue with business as usual after this attack and the inept or criminal handling of the events. Yet, political analysts say that there will be little to no consequences to those involved. Information such as the fact that we angered and embarrassed the President of Libya with the State Dept. assertion that the attacks were not terrorism, shows gross incompetence, at best, or intentional deception, at the worst. I can't imagine that there are State Dept. employees anywhere in the world that feels confident that the country they serve has their back. How have we gotten to the place where we expect and overlook incidence like this? And how do we prevent future attacks? Since our government appears to be okay with putting political campaigns ahead of the truth, we the people should be loud and unceasing in our call for truth and consequences.
