Time Magazine columnist and New York University professor Ian Bremmer,Former British MI6 Intelligence Officer Christopher Steele started a trend with his dirty dossier still going the media rounds to this very day. The more salacious, the more outlandish the ‘News of the Day’, the more it will score big media play. Prime Example: the Golden Shower prostitutes performed on a Moscow bed—once slept in by sanctimonious Barack and Michelle Obama—kicked off an over two year special counsel Golden Goose Chase ‘investigation’ that came up empty after blowing 40 million tax dollars.
Steele, who fell in love with the legend he made of himself in his own mind, left his pet cats with a neighbor, and cut and run when the dirty dossier he concocted became the conspiracy of a lifetime. Like the dirty Democrats who paid him, Super Spy, 007 in his own mind, was never brought to justice for his blatant, outlandish lies. Steele’s trend took hold in something we call “Fake News”, but its perpetrators’ style of cut and run is now, “I was only kidding”. “I only meant it in jest” a la, Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, who was only kidding about a Green New Deal that somehow has already become The Law in New Mexico. (Canada Free Press, May 27, 2019 While AOC and her mentor Bernie Sanders may be giggling to themselves about how they conned Hillary’s “deplorables”, no one else is doing much laughing. The latest joker coming out of the Giggle Closet, is Time Magazine columnist and New York University professor Ian Bremmer, who made up a quote from whole cloth and attributed it to President Donald Trump. A Professor Bremmer ‘Dirty Dossier’ from the get-go. The Time magazine columnist and professor who brazenly made up a quote, attributing it to President Donald Trump, went on to issue a statement after the president slammed him, claiming he falsified the quote as a joke. “Ian Bremmer, a political scientist who frequently appears on cable news networks to criticize Trump, posted a missive on Twitter claiming that Trump while in Tokyo said: “Kim Jong Un is smarter and would make a better president than Sleepy Joe Biden.” (NTD, May 27, 2019)

“While a slew of media employees, including a CNN analyst and an NPR correspondent, shared the quote without checking its legitimacy, other reporters questioned it, including Washington Examiner reporter Jerry Dunleavy. “Bremmer eventually admitted he’d made up the quote, saying it was “a comment on the state of media and the twitterverse today.” “Bremmer later deleted all of his explanations and stayed silent on the issue until Trump criticized him Monday morning. “Ian Bremmer now admits that he MADE UP ‘a completely ludicrous quote,’ attributing it to me. This is what’s going on in the age of Fake News,” the president wrote. “People think they can say anything and get away with it. Really, the libel laws should be changed to hold Fake News Media accountable!” he added. "Bremmer took to Twitter to respond, writing: “My tweet yesterday about Trump preferring Kim Jong Un to Biden as President was meant in jest.”

“The President correctly quoted me as saying it was a ‘completely ludicrous’ statement. I should have been clearer. My apologies,” he added. (The Hill, May 27, 2019)
“Upon being questioned on the quote, Bremmer had said that it was “plausible” and meant as commentary on “the state of media and the twitterverse today.”
Did Bremmer know that his referring to the fictional Trump quote as “plausible” would cause it to be picked up and repeated by millions of Trump haters world wide, with a reminder they would only have to say, “I was just kidding” when caught up in blowback? Though they claim not to, the enemy are poring over each and every one of your Tweets, Mr. President looking for any way they can to smear you. A word from the wise goes all the way back to the early 1700s: Jonathan Swift wrote in The Examiner, Nov. 9, 1710: “Falsehood flies, and the truth comes limping after it.” (Wikiquote) A truth not even the purveyors of Fake News can change.
