Time we all begin to include this propaganda-chain of fake news in any evaluation of what is to be considered as fake news, and begin to treat those elected liars as unfit for office and their purveyors as unfit for advertisers, unfit for our support

Questioning the veracity of the New York Times and their cohorts

You’ve probably seen articles giving guidelines to help you determine if news is fake news or not. But one thing I have never seen those guidelines include is an evaluation of traditional major news sources. Multimillion dollar corporations such as the New York Times, the Washington Post, AP, Reuters, and others, must undergo the same scrutiny as newer or not-so-well-funded sources, many of which arise from the reaction to the amount of false political propaganda and downright disinformation from these “acceptable” sources.
I find that so-called “right-wing” propaganda is called fake news so readily, but media having a propensity for putting out statements of Democrat leaders as facts and the basis for truthfulness in judging others’ political opinions are generally given a pass. It’s incredible the number of people who simply accept major news media outlets’ portrayal of things according to what Democrat political leaders say as reality, thereby giving those leaders a pass when they lie to us. With this having gone on for decades, their lying has gotten more brazen and more extreme. And no, when I say that, I’m not using hyperbolic rhetoric. That is the actual state of media such as the Washington Post, with rare opinion editorial exceptions. I say it is not equal to both sides, because ABC, NBC, CBS, Reuters, BBC, CNN, MSNBC, AP as well as the New York Times, the Washington Post, the LA Times, and a vast majority of all large city newspaper, TV, and radio are all faithful to Democrat political perspective. These enterprises, making up the dominant media of our nation, are almost exclusively portraying our country and the world according to the doctrine and propaganda of the Democrat Party and the various forces on the Left who metaphorically walk in lockstep with them.

Of course there is plenty of rhetoric from all sides, but accepting Democrat lies as news is rampant. Republicans, even if they wanted to pursue the Democrat/media Big Lie technique do not begin to have the resources or the influence to lie to people in such a way. Again, there is plenty of name-calling rhetoric occurring on social media by people of all sides. But I’m talking about the factual essence of the news (propaganda) most of us receive by Big Media. It’s not that politicians of one party being better than the other. It’s most of media becoming a propaganda outlet for one side that has become so dangerous. Saying “both sides are doing it” misses the point, because the power and influence of major media is so heavily weighted toward the Democrat or Washington D.C. Establishment side of things. When one political party is so influential in media bias, we’re dealing not with a free press but media serving as a political party’s propaganda outlet, no longer the Fourth Estate, there to criticize, scrutinize and question ALL in authority, but to give one side a pass and treat anything outside that propaganda world as false. Because humans base their perceptions on their particular world view, it’s impossible for media to be totally objective. But when a political perspective is treated favorably by someone in the media, it should be done backed up with facts and evidence as best as they can evaluate, and not based on political sound bites perpetrated by those who have a reputation for twisting and falsifying the facts exclusively for the sake of promoting their political agenda.

I have a hard time not calling out lies when I can (and I don’t mean opinions with which I disagree) especially when news media that talks about fact-checking take no interest in fact-checking one political perspective, and abuses their role in the 4th Estate by using their or someone else’s lies and deception to promote an individual or organization. We are in trouble as a country when someone like House intel committee chair Adam Schiff, whose lying has been apparent throughout the Trump presidency to all those who are attacked verbally by him and all those who support the ones he attacks, is declared a hero by others, who unquestioningly accept those lies. Recent #1 example, he leads House hearings opening with a total misportrayal of a phone call, even when the transcript of the phone call, showing his lying, is publicly available. It’s all out there to see, the transcript and how Schiff described it. Then he continued concocting lies and treating his misportrayals of President Trump as factual evidence throughout the impeachment trial! I don’t, and no one should, consider lying an acceptable method of prosecution in a courtroom. Neither should we accept it in House or Senate proceedings. Yet we saw incredible amounts of lying on full national display in the off and on fourteen weeks of the Democrat leadership prosecuting impeachment. And the lies were almost wholly given a pass and treated as fact by major media. It’s time we all begin to include this propaganda-chain of fake news in any evaluation of what is to be considered as fake news, and begin to treat those elected liars as unfit for office and their purveyors as unfit for advertisers and unfit for our subscription dollars.
