Reckless Coalition of Opposition would ruin Canada

imageCanada is proof positive that politicians care not for the struggle of the common man but only for the power and control possible through the means justifying the end. With the gleeful help of Bloc Quebecois, the political party that wants to separate Quebec from the rest of the country, the Michael Ignatieff-led Liberals and the Jack Layton-led New Democratic Party (Socialists) cast their votes to bring the minority Conservative government down in a non-confidence motion, on Friday.

The deadly trio used the budget to bring the government down, but have been waiting for any excuse to send Canadian voters to the polls to give them the “Coalition government” they have been promising since their 2008-2009 failed attempt. It matters not to the leaders of the three parties that they have forced a May 2 general election the country does not want and an election the current economy does not need. Least of all they do not care that so far Canada has emerged from the global recession in a much better position than most other countries. Prime Minister Stephen Harper, long ago pegged as “scary Stephen” for his conservative values by the far left, got it right when he termed the Coalition as “reckless”. “On May the 2nd, we will choose between stable national government and a reckless Coalition between a low-tax plan for jobs and growth, and a high-tax agenda that will stall our recovery, kill jobs and set families back”,” Harper said in a statement from Ottawa on Friday. In reference to the Conservative’s two-term minority government, Harper said, “Canadians need to understand clearly, without any ambiguity: unless Canadians elect a stable, national majority, Mr. Ignatieff will form a Coalition with the NDP and Bloc Quebecois. They tried it before. It is clear they will try it again. And, next time, if given the chance, they will do it in a way that no one will be able to stop.” Prime Minister Harper may have been giving the Liberals and NDP a dignity they don’t deserve when he cast them as “arch-centralists”: “Imagine a coalition of arch-centralists and Quebec sovereignists trying to work together.” For the truth is that both parties are arch-leftists kept at bay only by voter intelligence. Canada run by a Coalition of the far left, egged on by the Bloc Quebecois, would put Canadians on the same kind of road to ruin paved by President Barack Obama in the country next door. Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff gone from Canada for 27 years, a Harvard professor for 5 years, before returning to Canada as a Liberal candidate ready to offer his talents for public office. It has been reported that Ignatieff was trained for Canadian Prime Ministership by none other than top, former Obama advisor Larry Summers. The only difference between Ignatieff (media-dubbed Iggy) is that we know from where his pedigree comes. His family somehow escaped Czarist Russian with impressive personal wealth. NDP leader Jack Layton, who attended the DNC convention that nominated Obama for presidential candidacy, is so intensely a Barack Obama wannabe, he is called “the Barack Obama of Canada”. There is chatter among opposition parties that Iggy is so weak he should be replaced by Liberal MP Bob Rae, who is still a socialist at heart. The province of Ontario is still paying the price for having elected Rae as Ontario’s first socialist premier back in the `90s. Like most, if not all politicians, Scary Stephen is no saint. Many are disappointed that his Immigration Minister Jason Kenney plays fast and loose with lax immigration laws. Others accuse Harper of stowing conservative values for politically correct posture. But Harper has been hampered in style by leading a minority as opposed to a majority government. There is also no doubt that he is the best choice for Canada in a deepening global recession. If Canadians are taken over by a reckless Coalition of the power crazed, gang-up styled leaders of the Opposition, Canada will lose stability at a time when political instability is making the world a colder, darker place. God protect Canada from the Coalition.
