“Refer to Staff” a “Breach of Trust”

All too often when “Municipal Official Plans or By-laws” come before council for vote, you will hear these words “Refer to Staff”.

If a politician at any level of Government signs off on a document without reading it, they are in “Breach of Trust” and could be found incompetent, and the person could be charged personally. “Refer to Staff”. The people in the province and municipality did not vote for STAFF to represent them!!!!!!!! This is where things go off the rails, and how the spew that comes out of Queens Park creeps into our municipalities. If it is Staff that is running our towns and cities, why do we have to have Elections? Our politicians don’t read the Legislation and we the people of Ontario have to start calling them out or have them removed. Bob Mackie
