“Oddly enough, I decided to go a little bit light on the ChapStick this morning,” Kennedy joked when asked on ABC’s “Good Morning America” if he brought the lip balm with him. “More on the coffee, light on the ChapStick, which was probably a wise choice,” the 37-year-old quipped. “He also told CNN that Tuesday night’s ChapStick application was “a little too much, apparently.”No kidding, Joe, particularly when your pathetic act followed that of a 12-year-old boy who spent his after-school time planting some 40,000 flags on veteran graves; when your colleagues over at the White House couldn’t be bothered to stand when the tearful mothers of two daughters slain by MS-13 were introduced by President Trump. It was gratifying to see the number of social media users panning the Kennedy retort to President Trump’s SOTU address:
“Ask not what your country can drool for you, ask what you can drool for your country!” @PetroNL tweeted. “I know liberals get really upset when Trump is doing great but this was the first time I actually saw one frothing at the mouth,” wrote @Katyellig.The Democrats knew ahead of time they would have to come up with someone to counter the coming positive in President Trump’s SOTU address. They couldn’t use Nancy Pelosi who many see as demented, deranged and over the top. Ditto for Chuckie Schumer. They went for Kennedy hoping to resurrect Camelot in their times of exile, forgetting or ignoring that Jacqueline Kennedy said “there will never be another Camelot.” But rather than the Arthurian legend being resurrected, it arrived DOA on Tuesday night, shot down by a slash of overdone Kennedy ChapStick. Meanwhile, it’s back to Square 1 for the seething Democrats in Exile. We can only hope that Joe Kennedy III hasn’t started a trend and that we will be spared having to watch Nancy Pelosi on CNN slathered over with lip balm.
