Republicans and Democrats

I guess I'm missing something. The Democrats, who trumpet their tolerance, liberal thinking and social policies have 2 old white men and one old white woman, all career politicians, leading their field of Presidential hopefuls.

The Republicans who are billed by Democrats as racist, narrow minded and socially conservative have a black man, 2 Hispanics, a woman, a couple of heavy set gentleman and Irishman, 3 of whom are not career politicians, leading their Presidential hopefuls. How do you explain that? Michael Chandler
