Two days to get to D.C.
The Declaration to Restore the Constitutional Republic took months to research a draft and weeks to vet through our members before making it public for all veterans and patriots across the country.
When it was finished and approved, we looked at the timing for public release and based upon all the damage being done to our nation daily, the holiday approaching and another senseless election cycle underway, we knew that the time to go was now or never.
Over the last month since our public Call-to-Action, a years worth of work, preparing for a national event, has been accomplished by an all volunteer staff at Patriots Union and Veteran Defenders - stage - sound - banners - publicity - speakers - security - permits, all of it, put together in the last 30 days.
It takes an organization of selfless "doers" to do that, and no matter how many answer the call to D.C. two days from now, we are proud of our members who have made it all possible and members of other organizations who have jumped in to help out, asking only to be a part of this historic event.
I want to thank the hundreds of donors who stepped up over the last month and answered the call to help cover the significant expenses of this event as well. With two days to go, we are only $5000 shy of raising enough to cover the entire event.
We ask those who can, to help finish covering the event costs and thank all who have given to the cause of Restoring our Republic.
Veterans Day will not mark the end of federal tyranny in America or the immediate restoration of the constitutional republic, but it will mark the beginning.
Government is not the solution, it's the problem. Politicians are not the solution, YOU are the solution. That's what this event is about. It's not about political campaigns... it's about a People's Campaign and it all begins on 11.11.11
