I think that passage of Obamacare (HR-3590) today depends entirely on Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s ability to produce his letter, with signatures, confirming that he in fact has 51 votes to pass their reconciliation bill verbatim.
The fundamental question is:
How does Harry Reid mollify the Boxer / Mikulski pro-abortion axis enough to satisfy the Rep. Bart Stupak coalition anti- government funded abortion democrats in the House?
That Axis of Evil has been trying to get rid of the Hyde Amendment roadblock since 1976.
Sequence of the Bills has always been the problem and the reason for the failure of “Deem & Pass”.
I do not think that he has the signatures yet and I don’t see him getting them.
If, that is true? How many of the Pelosi/Obama coalition remain? Short of 216, I think.
Wouldn’t it be ironic if the 50 million aborted babies (fetuses) reach out from their graves and trip up the Obama/Pelosi/Reid triumvirate?
If so, we and they might do well to remember Lincoln’s quote:
