In many parts of the world the ridiculous has reached levels of the sublime

Millions of the faithful will be attending church tomorrow, including all of those from whom Pope Francis is trying to cut off from worship, those who have been attending the Latin Tridentine Mass there from the long ago days of the catacombs. Many are praying for the pontiff’s “normal convalescence” but it is the sickness of his soul that is the real worry. Don’t let wayward governments, the media, political egos Covid-19 or any of its variants frighten you and your little children out of their wits. In many parts of the world the ridiculous has reached levels of the sublime. In England where the ‘pingdemic’ has led to its government calling in the army. In Australia where the world has gone completely Covid mad.
